An Early One From Elvis
A couple of young gals from Texas had spent the night watching the stars performing live on the Louisiana Hayride in Shreveport Louisiana.
It was a Saturday night and the show had ended and the young ladies decided to hang around and try to get some autographs. So they scoured the hallways of the auditorium but couldn't find anybody to sign...with the exception of the guy who had been introduced as the "Boppin' Hillbilly"
They looked at each other and debated..."should we ask HIM"???....and they eventually decided that would be o.k. and had him sign.
Good call!!
That autograph is below along with the front cover of the program from that night...January 15, 1955.
