Not sure why a 007 group wasn't created before, but I'm glad it's finally here! Why not get the ball rolling with the greatest Bond of all, Sean Connery...just wondering if this might be an actual one of his? Thanks!

+1 well said TQ

Have you seen the "is there a forgery business" thread on here?

It's worth looking at

I agree, these Connery signatures are ones I would avoid. They instantly look off to me. Can't say they are all by the same hand but could be.

Yep, to be avoided like the plague! I cant say for certain either but they all look to me like the same guy copying them from one of the 'charity' autographs.

The ones you listed TQ with the weird Best Wishes are done by a guy named Joe Hendrix in NY.  He was doing Michael Jackson for awhile.  He pumps out Connery and pretty much anyone who is "freshly dead".   He isn't from the U.S. so when he writes in cursive he usually fouls it up, making a lot of his items look similar (many times the inscriptions read exactly the same from different celebrities).

He has about 16 accounts (per eBay customer service) but they've never closed any of the accounts that I am aware of, even though I've spoken to them at length about him.  He also shill bids his items constantly and eBay is aware of this too. Here is the discussion that we kept up on - every time he decided to forge an MJ.   https://live.autographmagazine.com/forum/topics/michael-jackson-14

Also irritating is that he's gotten some of the Connery's past JSA and Beckett.  I've given up trying to warn these two authenticators though because they don't do anything either. (I have not warned them on Connery's but on other celebs in the past)

Here are some of Joe Hendrix accounts.

Wascher,

An informative post with lots of research and work to support your post.

Well done and thanks

Mike

excellent post wascher and thank you for continued great detective works

The guy is a creep.

Here are two items he has up or just recently sold so that they are added into the discussion.  I did notice that some are very fluid on his eBay accounts and those I do not believe he himself made.  His are usually very shakey/choppy (all of his forgeries look like a 2 yr old traced writing).

I saw some of his Connery's and they are indeed bad

His style is becoming apparent

Fantastic info wascher, thank you. And yeah, all those signatures seem to come from those sellers you mentioned.

im glad you mentioned the jsa thing too, of late I’ve noticed a huge number of rubbish connerys authenticated by them.

Thanks again, great info to have!

A whole bunch of new rubbish created by what I suspect is the same hand has arrived on ebay including a comical signed card:

And scarily, one more that has been JSA authenticated:

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Sean-Connery-Signed-James-Bond-007-8x10...

Here is an item you can see that was shilled by this guys own accounts - he's not even remotely sneaky about it.

Using his Graphwizard above to sell.

Winner has 1010 feedback.

Here is his signndrive account with 1010 feedback.  (both of these #'s will go up obviously as he buys or sells other items.  https://www.ebay.com/usr/signndrivecollector

From info from other buyers of this guys stuff, they have been the 2nd person in line - and he'll email them to let them know the "winner" backed out - and offer it to them.  Or he gives himself wonderful feedback and throws it back out there for sale.  (This guy even buys good feedback points from sellers who sell feedback on ebay for a few bucks--he did that when he first started these two accounts).

No morals whatsoever. Here is the one rub I have against eBay. There are too many sellers who clearly are bad apples and don't quite understand why eBay doesn't get them the boot.

I understand they would just probably start up a new account but, at least, their feedback would not get so high.

Of course, the ridiculous low prices on bigger dollar items should be a warning to anyone with a lick of common sense.
