That autograph, while probably good, is pretty ugly (like many of his signatures these days). Hope you didn't pay too much.

yes it could be legit but as J.Mikael said, this is a really poor example and way overpriced. I got a 1972 very good example for only $30. Gillian is cheap as chips because he signs so much. The only 1 that fetch's higher dollar is Blackmore. Maybe Lord would be a bit higher because he's dead and didn't sign much.

With Gillan I'd say the price will depend a lot on what the item is. A nice signature on a classic Deep Purple vinyl, should be a lot more than $30.

Perhaps the market hasn't caught up yet, but Gillan hasn't been a good signer in years. His autograph is also forged a lot.

Fully signed items, complete with Blackmore and Lord, are of course where the real money is.

Gillian on his own is cheap as chips no matter what it's on. To me it's the quality of sig that counts, no matter what it's on. And mine has an inscription which is rare.

He's an autograph whore.

But his early 70's sigs are the best IMO

Now they are lazy scribble and worth much less

Gillian, Paice and Glover can each be found for a song if you look hard enough

I have a nice set of signed sticks from Paice I got for $40. And he is one of best stick signers out there... exact sig to paper

I've witnessed Deep Purple members signing habits first hand over several decades. Gillan used to be a good signer, but that was a while back.

While it's still possible to get the current members autographs pretty cheap, a premium item will cost more. A vintage Deep Purple item will also be worth a lot more than a solo item.

Also, show some respect. If you're gonna call somebody a whore, at least spell their name right.
