At the end of the day the best thing to trust is your own eyes. Modern JLC signatures are easy to identify once you look at enough of them. Start by looking at her endings on authentic signatures. Most of her signature endings hit the exact marks that are in the book you posted up.

yes that's what I am doing I think I will make an offer as Celebrity authentics are asking $599 which is insane but you do have proof with them

hey someone is selling pre-prints of this Jamie Lee Curtis and I sent them a question and it was signed at Horrorhound but he won't sell the original it looks almost identical to the one on ebay the way it is signed looks almost the same to the one on ebay

That reprint image is a copy of an authentic autograph. The one in question is not. They do not look the same. Slow down and take the time to study the differences. Read what I just wrote about studying the endings and you'll see how two of the three images in this thread look one way, and the one in question doesn't.

+1 Slow down indeed. $599? I don't know what image you want, but did you look at the link I provided? Get that checked out (she is not among the sigs I know) and it would be a full vintage signature instead of this modern scribble. It is also much cheaper at $126 - and they take reasonable offers.

Authenticators and/or professional opinions are b.s. as you are finding out. Trust your own research and eye. Curtis is an easy autograph at her children’s book signings. I have one.

Here are some of my Horrorhound JLC autographs so you can study the traits of her signature (please don't post these anywhere else without my permission):

When I was digging around for my Fog poster, I came across this good example of the "middle period" of her signature. You can see how it marks the beginning of her transformation from a fuller signature with letters to the tag that she uses now:

Would you sell or trade this vintage one that says “Best Wishes”? Let me know thanks. I’m very interested

Nope.. Not real. $150?.. Steep.
