This particular copy sold for $47,500 in April 2015.

So he received two signed copies of the album?

The doctor attending to George apparently had 6 copies signed.

Amazing.

Would overall contrast and contrast of the Lennon particularly come into play at this level? How do folks feel about the eye appeal? There is a lot of text there competing and the title is so bold. Of course, signing the cover would be a challenge!

Doesnt bother me one bit.

I was very surprised this didn’t go higher. The final bid was about 75,000, but that would be over 93,000 with the 25% buyers premium. I was expecting that there would be a reserve on this and I would’ve guessed that it wouldn’t be less than 100,000. So, I assume you’re right since it isn’t listed as a past sale, they didn’t meet the reserve. I didn’t remember if this auction house indicated whether reserveS was met, like the Sotheby’s auction which stated reserve met or not met.

I was bidding on this. I thought that anything under 100K would be a deal I couldn’t pass up. If won, I would sell my signed album (and maybe more) My initial high bid was 60 something K (not including BP). Near the end I got a notice that I was outbid and that the next min bid would be the 75K bid. I was busy and distracted at work but was contemplating whether to go to the next bid. By the time I decided to go ahead and do it, somebody had already bid the 75K and I wasn’t willing to go beyond that, i.e. next bid making it over 100 K with the buyers premium.

I also thought that several items in the auction sold surprisingly low. I’m surprised the signed EP sold so low.

Bad luck Mark!

Rr need to lower the BP because I'm sure it would have sold if some of the 25% were to end up in the buyers pockets.

Lots of items in this sale flopped the commission is too high especially on big items the company are making 25k per item its way too much and it being so near christmas people have other things to buy

Their authentication is a hit and miss these days .

You are so right , I stopped bidding in their auctions, 25% BP + state tax

i am done, all private sales for me

no BP

if RR does not wake up after these poor results and lower their BP then shame on them

as it stands they collect 40% from buyer and seller combined
