Jade and Mahogany LPs showed up in the mail today (Midwest USA),

vinyl was pressed in France, so the back stickers say,

a small handful of blue star-shaped confetti loose in the shipper too

ENJOY!

Ive seen nothing but countless stories lately praising Swift on the sales of this album. Shes been on the talk show circuit and it makes me a bit sick that she's using her fanbase, as well as resellers as leverage to turn a mideocre album into something it is not. Resellers have bought as many as 32 of these albums. Some even more if they know the loopholes. This album has no business being on the top of the charts. This is probably going to be an unpopular opinion but has anyone listened to the album? It plays like a sasha sloan album with a bit more story. Sasha Sloan is awesome in her own way but she can't even sell out her last album on Newbury. Taylor is using her popularity and knowledge of the autograph world to drive sales. I feel like a pawn. I bought 7 of these total. Most are still in transit. Are they worth something right now? Sure, but im not a reseller. I wish I didn't see her interviews. She comes off as smug, praising her work when we all know exactly how she made this happen. An yet, im still patiently waiting for her signed copies of the Reputation album because it means so much to me. Im furious, I can absolutely see whats going on in front of my face.. yet no matter how much I complain on here, ill still buy her next drop for the remake albums as long as they include signed booklets, but im done with these signed inserts for sure

She has a massive massive fanbase and very loyal too.

She can sellout huge stadiums in minutes.

Most of them would probably buy every variation of the new album regardless of signatures.

I agree with you completely on that. but I honestly still feel like a pawn after listening to this album and watching multiple interviews. I know I'll get some flack from my opinion but its so interesting to me how she's playing us

Isn’t that always the danger in buying aby new album without listening? Regardless of buying seven copies !!!

I have nothing but admiration for her hand signing thousands upon thousands with decent signatures.. not autopen not secretarial and not the L crap lady Gaga pushed out !

she’s one of the biggest artists on the planet and is looking after her fans.

imagine if she had only put out say 100 of each version !!

I definitely respect your opinion.. you are right. Its great that all fans have a shot at owning a Swift autograph. But to me, I feel that there is an aspect where her fans feel these are collectable items. Its best to collect them all.. when she releases 8 versions signed of an album and its a signed insert instead of the album itself as shes previously released, I cant help but feeling used as a collector. She took advantage knowing people like me would buy regardless.. and now its just really sinking in after shes getting extremely praised for the amount shes sold

As autograph collector I am grateful the charts are about sales and not quality. I would never have gotten all the Sheerans, David Gilmour or Elton John for an unbelievable price.

For sure we are being used, but not as much as her biggest fans. They are the true pawns. Artists try to milk their fanbase as much as they can, through selling different mediums (vinyl and cassette revival), limited color variants, retailer exclusive variants, deluxe editions with bonus content and signed items. Taylors team rules that game, the clock idea to collect all 4 CD covers was brilliant. And then to release the signed versions later, so the fans who pre-ordered for the clock end up with 8 CDs.

Then the vinyl comes with 4 different signed pictures, so as fan you'll need to grab those too even if you don't collect vinyl. Meanwhile they're building up FOMO with fake sell-outs.

As autograph collectors we don't have this emotional attachment so we can cherry pick more. The only thing I hate from the Taylor sales is that they kept the signed pictures hidden, so you wouldn't know exactly what you bought until after you've ordered.

I know what you mean. The two autographs I have go for crazy money so I got the e-mail bought the 4 albums and then I bought the case which is made very nicely! But I didn't have the signed CD so I went the ebay route and had to deal with a flipper selling something he didn't have! "UGH" I did receive it just yesterday at the price of $75 smackers! But she is a "Trinket Seller" for sure! I go back and forth about the clock's I do have the FOMO problem hence my 3 copies of Brian Johnson book!

She definitely knows how to play the game.  But there’s no denying that she put in the work by legit signing what, maybe 150-200k albums?  How many others sold 1% of that and still used autopen?  I hope she doesn’t get burned out after this round, because these are the easiest gifts for my daughter.  Is the album a masterpiece?  Probably not, but it’s all subjective.  All I know is as long as she keeps dropping signed albums, I’m in.

Mahogany.

I received my Moonstone Blue Vinyl today via UPS and there was no hand signed photo inside. It has the sticker saying it’s inside but wasn’t there. Has anyone else had this happen. I contacted customer service and am awaiting a response.
