WHATS THE BEST "QUOTE" OR "QUOTE'S" YOU HEARD FROM A CELEBRITY WHILE GETTING AN AUTOGRAPH ?

OK GUYS...something a bit different then the old autograph discussions were used to seeing and or writing about...this forum is about what the celebrity's you got AUTOGRAPHS IN PERSON FROM told you while receiving there signature...GOOD OR BAD...some celebrities are much nicer then others and even though they would stop to give you the time to sign...sometimes there NOT SO NICE...feel free to add your quick quotes or conversations you had with celebrities while meeting our icons from no matter what realm of status they fall into...FOOTBALL...BASKETBALL...BASBEALL...ACTOR...ACTRESS...SINGER...BAND MEMBER/PERFORMERS...HOCKEY...etc. Also add pictures if you got them with the celeb or the autograph you got with the story that's behind the autograph that really makes the piece stand out in your collection...

Let me know...

When I got Whitey to sign my chair he asked me "Where the hell did you get this" and I told him "I ripped it out off the nuts and bolts from Yankee stadium after the Yankees lost the 2003 World Series (which was obviously not true)...He started laughing and told me "You can get in trouble for that"...even the authenticator with him knew it couldn't have been a true STORY and Whitey just started laughing...He's really a great guy...AND really kind...but I have also seen him be a bit grumpy at times...I shook his hand and went on my way...HE REALLY IS A TRUE YANKEE LEGEND...

I would also like to add my friend was waiting for Reggie Jackson one night outside of a Hotel and when Reggie arrived and seen my buddy he was agitated immediately...he can be a jerk from time to time...Reggie said in a pissed tone "What are you doing here"..."I don't sign at night"...my friend kept asking him as he always does...Reggie took all his belongings...threw them on the floor and said "I bet you a thousand dollars you will be here tomorrow night again"...which he didn't...but Reggie was certain he was...He proceeded to sign his item and while doing it my friend was thanking him as Reggie proceeded to tell him to "shut up" and through it back to him...my friend always makes the point which is so true that he argued with him longer then it would have took the 3 seconds to sign his item with no hassle...its pretty funny but true...

I always smile when I think back to meeting up with the band Chicago and one of the older members said "No, I ain't signing...you work for eBay".  It was funny because he clearly had no clue about ebay and really believed I was an employee for the company eBay.   Ahhh, if only I worked for eBay, lol.

great add Mike....

I also once had Paul Blair tell me that "wearing your Yankees hat backwards is being disrespectful to the Yankees" at a signing....REALLY ?!?!?!?!......LOL...Your Paul Blair bro...good times...

Great story Mike...that's awesome..

On 2 separate occasions I had Ford and Berra sign one of my Dimaggio balls...first was Berra...he said "Wow...you must have had this ball for a long time"...smiled from ear to ear and signed it..."What a great signature" he also added...then when I had Whitey sign it he said "Wow...you really got some great names on here"...which I then responded "It wouldn't be complete with out you Whitey"...he also smiled from ear to ear ans signed it...Its amazing how these guys have such great respect for Dimaggio which they were honored to add there names to something he signed...I thought that was pretty cool..

Yeah, I like how that one guy thinks it's funny that he doesn't 'work for ebay', but yet it's way worse: He has his own f*$%ing autograph STORE! Real funny. You sure put one over on those darn Chicago fellas.

Just recently Jose Canseco asked me if I stole my seat back out of Yankee Stadium...its funny I think Whitey Ford asked me the same thing...LOL

I wish I asked him his thoughts on the Clemens trial....

I met Buzz Aldrin a few years ago at the UACC National Convention.  I had prepared a custom 3x5 card that had his name on top "Edwin E. Aldrin Jr.", and "Apollo 11 Lunar Module Pilot" on the bottom.  The card also had an American Flag in one corner, and the NASA Logo in the other corner.  Buzz changed his name many years ago, but when he made the moon walk his legal name was Edwin.  When I asked him to sign the card he promptly gave me a lecture that he had legally changed his name 25-years ago.  I would have been happy if he signed the card with "Buzz Aldrin", but he seemed a bit upset.  Fortunately I had made a back-up card, with "Buzz Aldrin" at the top, and he happily signed it for me.  Many of the people in the room got a laugh when I quickly replaced cards to accomodate Buzz.

Julie Benz once explained how she barfed during the scene from Saw she was signing.
