Don't see this movie. It's awful.
I hated the first one, and have found that so many women loved it. It baffles me.
And I was a big fan of the show!
There is one scene where a guy, who became a movie star in the first one (and Kim Cattral slept with, of course)...he shows up with a big movie he's promoting in New York. At the after-party, he's talking with Cattral, and a fan comes up and asks for his autograph.

...no offense to the guy who asked for that actors' autograph, but if it was me i would ask Kim Cattral for an autograph and almost freak out with blissful happiness, because in my personal opinion shes the Marilyn Monroe of today...

She is a beautiful woman. Although, she looked horrible in this film. Check her out in Ghost Writer, the Roman Polanski movie that's out right now. She's absolutely stunning (I hate to tell anyone to see a Polanski film, because he's a rapist...but it's one of the best movies of the year).
Also, Cattral has a scene that is similar to her scene in Porky's (ie loud sex that everyone hears)

i totally agree, i also think that the plot of the movie was one of the main negatives...
because if i remember correctly, at least i think i am... correct me if im wrong though: that the plot was ALWAYS in new york city & that messed some of it up~ what do you think about this?

The movie had some interesting stories to work with: Big and Carrie becoming a boring married couple that stays at home, Kristin Davis' kids driving her nuts and a cute nanny her husband likes, Catrall going thru menopause, and Cynthia Nixon having a sexist boss that causes her to quit.
The problem was -- with those premises, they still didn't have good stories and jokes that went with all the shenanigans.
