With the New York Comic Con just over the horizon I thought that it would be an opportune time to discuss anything and everything related to it.  I am particularly interested in hearing from anyone who has purchased in-person autographs from any of the scheduled guests in the recent past.  Although I will not be attending this year other collectors who plan on attending may need to determine how much money to bring and any help would be great.  Thanks in advance for any information that you are able to provide.

Stewart if i recall correctly was $70.00 plus the photo.  there were no flash cameras allowed so you need to have it on no flash.  It was however comical that he didn't know how to spell Dr. Xavier.... but I did finish a shot with he & jonathan frakes and he had some fun inscribing it with "make it so number one".

he took no pictures with the guests nor no handshakes or knuckle fists so don't bother.  When he arrived I was coming down the elevator from my room that he arrived in with his entourage.  He is not embracing by a long shot.

since this thread propped up, I just ordered 3 more from julie's website and true to her word "they are not for resale" and all must be inscribed.

Now that you mention it, I didn't see Stewart shaking hands either at the autograph table.  Though I did get one at the photo op.  And security seemed to be pretty aggressively enforcing the "no photos" policy.

So do they put up a sign "No handshakes" ? How do they communicate this to people in line? Or does the assistant just slap your hand down if you stick it out? LOL

I can understand not wanting to touch hundreds of drooling fanboys, but at $70 a pop, he could grin and bear it and use some hand sanitizer. ;-)

LOL, I think that's what Ferrigno does.

I was always amused at how awkwardly uncomfortable Stewart looks in his photo ops.

it happened several times as I observed and the handlers stepped right into the "face" of the signature requestor.  there were no signs nor when I was going to do a typical knuckle knock avoiding the need for a "sanitizer" the handlers stepped right in as well.  there were no advance warnings and we had to scramble to set it too no flash at least to capture the signings for provenance at some point.

he appeared to have some amusement with his reaction and animation that he drew on it when I had a Frakes picture to finish.

do remember though, he doesn't really "like" star trek.

I don't understand the attraction to Christopher Lloyd.  The long line must be a result of him being a slow signer.  I suppose if the price is right and the line is reduced to a reasonable length by the end of the day I can add him to my list but like I said I just don't understand it.

Slow signer, takes breaks, several collectors getting many autographs when the prices are low ($30 - 40) . . .

There are still a lot of BTTF fans - it was a huge movie series at the time and has aged surprisingly well over 20+ years.   And Doc Brown was one of the most memorable and likable characters of my youth.  But if you're not a big BTTF fan, it might seem less exciting - though Lloyd still has an impressive body of work as a character actor (Star Trek 3, Taxi, Addams Family, Roger Rabbit, etc).

He'll always be Reverand Jim Ignatowski to me. :-)

I forgot about Roger Rabbit.  He makes me laugh.

Thank you all so much for the numerous responses.  I am adjusting my plans accordingly.  I may even pass on Adam West and Burt Ward since I already met West in the past, have no interest in meeting Ward and can simply purchase a Dynamic Duo piece from a reputable dealer elsewhere for the same price that you are all quoting here.  Thanks again and please keep the replies coming.

They just announced that Carrie Fisher will be in attendance.

If you click on the names they now list a price. Batman is now 60 but wont sign bootleg items? Not sure what that means but ok.
