Counterfeit PSA, JSA, & GAI Items Being sold on eBay.
Three blogs have been started in the past two months regarding a "group" who is counterfeiting PSA, JSA, and GAI COA's and Holograms and selling the knock-off items on eBay. I have decided to start a forum regarding this issue to help organize the information. Listed below are links to the previous blogs that were started on this group. I have listed them in chronological order, update yourself on this issue and join the fight against this group. Please post any new info or questions.

PSA/DNA would like to introduce our new certificates of authenticity (COA) which feature holographic technology to better combat counterfeiting. The same technology that was added to the PSA/DNA Letter of Authenticity is now embedded in our COAs, adding another level of security. The detailed color-shifting hologram is now utilized on all four COAs: the Standard PSA/DNA certificate, the signed In-the-Presence certificate (for autographs witnessed by PSA representatives) as well as our RookieBall™ and RookieGraph™ COAs.
These things are getting close to passports.

The "invisible marker" is NOT applied to the sticker itself, it is actually applied to the item. If you have a baseball, Jersey, Football, Mini etc it will be applied to the actual item usually above the hologram. If you have a photo it is applied to the back side of the photo. There in NO way to see this making with the naked eye, you will actually need to use a special calibrated laser light to see this marking.
It has been said that this marking has affected the leather on Baseballs and footballs so I believe now they apply the mark on the air intake of the football (the little black rubber) and on the laces above the sticker on baseballs. Also it's been said that they just don't mark the leather items anymore because of this but to really know for sure we would need a statement from PSA which they will not confirm I am sure.

Updating the earlier response since just got off the phone with a PSA Service Rep. She indicates, as far as she has been aware, that they have not put the dab on the sticker itself confirming what you say. I don't know where Mike Aring rec'd his information or how old it might have been.
However, there are items that are certified that don't have the dab applied. Those items seem to be the framed items where the owner chooses to not have the dab applied as the item would have to be disassembled. Of course, that leads to other questions for another time.
with regards to the Basketball, they don't know whether a dab was or wasn't applied since the sticker was permanently affixed to the LOA (issued from the HO) and not issued at the show. The only way I would find out is to bring to another show where they have their detection light.
If they did, it would have been good to know that they did this but the rep clearly admitted it might be or might not be depending upon what type of authentication was actually performed at the show.

just an aside, and only in this checked instance, this item sold by bayoubyyou did validate to the GAI Cert.

I have a PSA sticker which I found in my collection, but I have no idea what item it is for. I contacted PSA by email but they dont seem to have it in their database. it is from 2008, and now I feel it could be one of these bogus ones. Here it is

wanna sell it, lol! Not necessarily as It's insane but PSA/DNA doesn't have all of their items properly recorded in their database. I never did get a straight answer sometime back as to why. Somewhere you have a PSA/DNA sticker on an item.

the 16 new accounts have been halted for the time being thanks DB! Just found #17 which they are using to list some of the items which were just removed, seems they haven't changed their m.o. Link to #17 ---->redzsports. They have 8 auctions running live right now, the most listed one one account at any one time that I've seen. Interesting this group likes starting all of their live auctions at $0.01.

like fruit flies James. Both gone until the acts are cleaned up. Sorry 'bout the delay but have been preoccupied with threats. Needless to say, the ones i worry about are from those that were at dinner yesterday & are here thru the wkend. They do know where my ballpeen hammer is!
