Hello Everyone,
While looking around this evening, i came upon a signed guitar featuring the signatures of Slash, Michael Jackson, and all of his band. For around 12 thousand dollars, this baby can be yours. It comes complete with a horrid MJ forgery, forgeries of MJ's band members, and an equally horrid Slash autograph complete with skull sketch.
This piece of garbage is being sold out of Australia, which seems to be the new mecca for forgers to ship from. It seems they have some sort of protection over there, and their are alot of horrid forgeries that i have seen coming from that area for a while now. Nothing against Australia or its citizens, its just that the forgers really like it their for some reason.
This item is being sold by ebay seller: audratoni
And here is the gem itself, oh yeah and it comes complete with a 2nd 8 by 10 containing the forgeries of Slash and MJ. Great deal huh?

I dont know who Backstage Autographs from Australia is run by, but they are selling some horrid forgeries. And by claiming that this item was signed IP on their COA, they are guilty of selling known forgeries.
Coincidentally, its odd that they picture actually contains better forgeries than the guitar by far. The sigs on the guitar arent even ballpark, but it looks like the forger got much better on the picture. I suppose its possible that these are even real sigs on the pic, but i highly doubt it. The skull and bones is much closer to Slash's style than the guitar, but the formation of his name seems all wrong and scrunched together. Plus, if Slash was signing in a hurry, which if real, this would obviously be a rushed sig, i feel confident that Slash wouldnt draw the skull. Thats just not something he does when rushed, in fact he rarely does it period. MJ i am not the best on, the guitar jumps out as obviously bad to me, and again on the pic, the signatures is fathoms closer than on the guitar. But it still looks sloppy and lacks the typical MJ flow to me. I suppose the pic could be real, but i would be very surprised. The guitar however i feel very confident is fake.
What are your opinions?
Not to be mean spirited, but does anything good ever come out of Australia? While US and UK certainly have more than their share of forgery problems, at least there is a plethora of good sources to get authentic items from. Seems like with autographs out of Australia, you don't have a prayer.
