Hi everybody,

I would like to challenge you and ask, if you think, that the autographs at the attached files are true or fake.

Thanks for sharing your opinion.

cheers,

right, Bruce, I know they are real. It's not my intention to sell them (besides my wife has a different opinion :-) but if an auction similar to the Sgt. Peppers one would bring a similar result, I would give one of my jewels away ;-)

The autos look very fresh and shiny for autos so old. I was going to say you must haw kept them in very pristine storage. It's amazing you have kept them in piles and they still look so good. I have 1 queen signed Lp and the autos look as old and faded as the cover itself.

They are not so shiny anymore. But as said, the LPs were stored in the middle of lots of LPs and I think, I have listened to LPs long time ago the last time (I am living in Portugal since 1996 and I have no LP player since), so they might have been conserved in a natural way. But the pen I used was something like an "Edding" (it was probably that marker even..don't recall) and that marker has a strong texture. But if you see the LP in real, you can see, they have some years. Worst it that my cats used the LPs from time to time to sharpen their nails (do you say nails for cats??) and the side of the LPs are a bit demaged....

I agree the autos look very new especially when signed in late 70s.

well, can't change it :-) I know, they are real, so I should probably ask Edding, if they don't want to run a comercial about it...it was on 19. or 20.01.1979 (http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/queen/1979/stadthalle-bremen-germany-...)

just checked the calendar of 79. should have been 20.01, a saturday. left hamburg friday after school...

I am judging the autographs and not the story. These autographs in my opinion are fakes, and all done by the same hand. Typically i would say i could be wrong, but im almost positive all of these are bad. Hassan their are problems with your story. First and foremost is that no one would come on this blog knowing their items were real and then turn around and ask if they were real. It makes no sense. Their is no reason or need to "test" anyone on this blog. And everytime i have ever seen anyone "test" this blog, they turn out to have alterior motives.

I am sorry but i dont believe the story at all. I hope Roger Epperson will comment to clear this up. My personal opinion is that these are low quality forgeries that were presented on this site with alterior motives. The signatures dont lie, and these all look bad.

Yeah, Queen sat there all night signing autographs for two runaway hitchhikers.....even letting their driver tour them around in the limo. Yeah I believe that. Whatever. Those signatures look like that after 30 years of just being tossed in with other LPs?

I actually think some people believe their own BULL DOO DOO!

There is one thing which seems very suspicious. Those sigs are very very far and very awful compared to typical signatures (especially all the "Deacon´s" are just horribly awful ones) that I simply can not believe the story (described conditions are in oposite to the "result"). Also Roger´s rushed autographs signed outside the venue without any steady support looks much nicer than these ones... One thing is for sure - not even one signature looks like clear genuine signature of Queen which is extremely strange in the situation which is described here!

Was signed by Queen.............................cover band.

Carl, my gut feelings tell me the same story.....

Carl, I agree with you. I think these are all forgeries also. And to be honest, for (supposed) 34 year old signatures, these look Iike they were signed last week! I hope Roger chimes in as well.
