Is this an authentic Shannon Hoon autograph?

He is one of my MAIN wants, and I have an urge to just take a chance on it!

Any knowledgable person, please help!

The event that the seller talks about did happen.

It's been awhile since I've seen a Hoon signature but I think it might be good. Looks like others I have seen before.

Well, I WON the auction, much cheaper than expected, so I hope this is a good thing!

I might refrain from a third party authenticator for the time being for two reasons. First, do you really want a gaudy sticker on your item? Second, I'd question whether there is anyone at either company that really has a stranglehold on Hoon's autograph.

Nice call. I was wondering earlier if they would have good examples to compare it to. The third parties have a hard enough time with some current and more popular music autographs. Example-Alicia Keys. EBAY has many authenticated by 3rd parties. I doubt they get her right 50% of the time. Some horrible signatures they have hacked off on.

Me, I'd hate to have them return or deny a signature I bought with the reason being more because they don't have enough exemplars then because they have enough to say its no good. I'd compare it to other known examples and feel good about it if it matched. I think it does. I would be confident with that signature.

I would have never thought that a company like that would have an issue finding exemplar pieces for comparison, but I suppose, there are not a ton of Hoon autographs out there. I feel confident in this one as well, and can't wait to frame it up!
