The signature is similar to others I've seen although I have not seen many where the M and the u are so far apart

That's what I was worried about too. I didn't end up bidding on it and it sold for $250. Seems kinda low but I don't know, I feel like I might have missed out. All of the seller's other items were thousand dollar bags and antiques so I feel like they were legitimate. 

My gut feeling is that it's not real. I always say trust your gut and as you did not bid I think you made the right decision. If someone is selling other items at $1,000 then why would they sell this for $250?

$250 was the opening bid for 7 days haha. Only one person bid on it. From my experience, you can sometimes sell items that are worth a lot and only get a little. Whether its because people don't like unauthenticated pieces or whether the collectors just aren't looking at that specific time or even a combination of both, the amount you expect to get is always what you end up with. I've sold things like comics and cards (nothing relatively high-end) that I've seen sell for $50+ and mine sold for $4. 

It looks like other Ali's, but not 100% sure on this... If it was reel, $250 was a steal!
