A rare Dwight D Eisenhower 1957 inauguration archive, including a signed letter by him

I thought you guys would like to know that I spotted, on Ebay, a rare President Dwight D. Eisenhower complete inauguration archive for his 1957 inauguration, which includes a signed letter by Eisenhower, with his informal "Ike E" signature. The inauguration archive was sent to President Eisenhower's niece and her husband, inviting them to attend his second inauguration, in 1957. Her name is Janis Eisenhower Causin, and she was the daughter of Edgar Eisenhower, Ike's brother.

This is a truly rare, complete archive from President Eisenhower's second inauguration in 1957--with a great signed letter by him-- and is made even more attractive considering that it was sent to a close family member of Eisenhower's.

Thanks for spotting it! It truly is a historic archive.

I noticed it also comes with a Raab Collection certificate of authenticity--they are one of the best autograph dealers in the world.

I have never seen a full inauguration archive before for Eisenhower, especially with an accompanying letter signed by him--it is a true rarity!

It is almost impossible to find a full archive from Eisenhower's 1957 inauguration, especially with a letter signed by him.

I completely agree that this is a once in a liftime opportunity to obtain such a quality group of historical items regarding President Eisenhower.

It appears that AML members David D and Jeff Benson are representatives of eBay seller "bladeben". The only comments these two AML members have posted have been about the Bogart/Bacall signed item, and this Eisenhower item, both for sale by eBay seller bladeben.

It's ok to advertise your auctions....but it's better to be honest and straightforward about it.

That's supposed to be Eisenhowers signature? I've never seen one like that before.

It is the informal version of Eisenhower's signature. He would sign as either "Ike", "Ike E", or "Ike Eisenhower" for correspondence with close associates or family members. It is definitely hand signed by Eisenhower. You can check on Google for many examples of this type of Eisenhower's autograph.

Nevermind :D Did a bit more research.

Good to hear :-)

David is the seller of the item--he hasn't hidden from that. Just because I have taken an interest in two of his items doesn't mean I'm his representative, but I understand your response.

I can confirm that I am the seller of this group of items.
