Opinions on Ebay seller gjacqui-2012

Hello. This is my first post so be gentle. :) I have collected autographs on and off for a few years, mostly going to conventions to get them. However, I recently bought a few from this seller on Ebay, she had 1400 positive feedback and no negative and I thought surely so many people couldn't be wrong, but I am starting to wonder now as I've seen several auctions for the same autograph by this seller, although they are of a different picture and it's got me wondering.

I will be posting my pictures of the autographs in the 'Is this Autograph real?' forum in a few hours. Please let me know what you think or if you have any experiences with this seller.

This seller in question is either a forger or getting his inventory from a forger.  The signatures I recognize aren't even in the ball park, and you can start to see that these autographs are signed by the same person using the same pens again and again.

I think I'll try and get a refund from the seller, as they only just arrived yesterday.  I wondering if I should say I've had them checked and they are not authentic and I would like a refund, the problem there is if he challenges it and asks for proof. Any advice on how to go about it?

Without even looking at any signature I can suggest avoiding this seller.

Inventory and completed items are too good to be true at ridiculously low prices. Legitimate major cast signed items would not be getting final bids of 10-20 pounds or dollars, so that's a tipoff that serious collectors are avoiding these items like the plague.

All auctions are private so that you can't look at the feedback and see that they pump out tons of the same autographs like an assembly line. This is a very common forger technique.

Feedback doesn't mean much of anything when it comes to forgers because people who would complain about obvious forgeries wouldn't be buying from this person in the first place.

If someone does have an issue, they are also typically very quick with the refunds which helps stifle the complaints. Their customers are primarily people who don't have much experience in autographs and get swept up in the cheap prices. All those people care about is having their items sent quickly, so the feedback is good in that regard.

Every item is a forgery and some are terrible such as the Jolie ones. A genuine Harry Potter photo signed by the 3 main cast goes for good money and those signatures are fake.

How recently did you buy as you have 45 days for a PayPal claim and 60 days for an eBay claim so can hopefully still get your money back and not be out of pocket.

Thanks for your reply. I only bought them on Saturday and they arrived yesterday. I see Ebay have instituted a new 14 Day default returns policy, so I am hoping I can return them under that. I should have gone with my gut telling me it was too good to be true. In the process of contacting the seller now and seeing if they'll do a refund.

Definitely contact the seller and give them 3 days to refund or sort this out. They seem to be churning out these items week after week and are cleaning up but ripping people off. 

If the seller refuses then resolve a problem and open a case and you'll get your money back.

Personally I would also leave negative feedback as a warning to others!

Has anybody reported them though?

I've had my eye on this seller for years. I think he/she was shut down in 2010 under the name Gloss Queen. eBay used to clamp down hard on autographs around that time.

This seller has now managed to get back on eBay, selling the same inventory as they did years ago. I unfortunately purchased before out of curiosity and still have the autograph to this day. The COA was issued by GlossQueen. The email address they used was glossqueen@btinternet.com.

Also, no matter what name they reinvent themselves under, they're ALWAYS based in West Sussex. At one point, it was Gatwick. Another was Three Bridges and now it's Southgate.

I'm confident it's the same person over the years but they know how to cover their tracks...
