Interesting Johnny Depp piece

Hi! What's everyone's opinion on this Johnny Depp signed sketch? I've seen two similar items on EBay and it seems to compare well. I was a little sceptical about the signature but my personal research seems to suggest it's a vintage example. I have my doubts simply because it would appear that if it is authentic it is really quite rare and special. Perhaps it is a pre-print. Anyone got any advice on how I would decipher if it was? Thanks for your help.
