I remember when I was in the mindset that UACC RD's represented a "safe haven," I did find top-notch dealers like Special Signings (Lester Freeman), MSPG, JG Autographs, and others, but there were also plenty of mediocre dealers and some pure trash.  Fortunately some of the worst offenders were eventually booted out.

educate myself !!with all due respect mate I do my homework  and this guy is a registered dealer of many years so what more can I do ? and this item has a lifetime coa

Hi Alan, hope you didnt think my comment was for you. It was for Seleznev on the previous page. He stated that in his opinion UACC and AFTAL dealers are solid. And i disagree with that. There are some that are very incompetent at there jobs and should be kicked out of the organizations ASAP. But AFtal and Uacc dealers do hold more weight in my opinion that just a registered member. And to me, have maybe a tad more weight when i consider an autograph. It certainly is a good step in the authenticity direction to be part of an organization who at least claims to police members. A lifetime COA is also a big plus as you know. Ive seen you around commenting Alan, i know your no novice.

Take care

Carl

Alan, there are many dealers that offer a lifetime guarantee. Problem is some of these do not accept TPA as proof of non authenticity. In those cases I fail to see what good a lifetime COA really has. Every dealer is different but who do they accept opinions from is what separate them.

Please don't get pissed off at me, I didn't sell it to you. You asked for opinion and I gave it to you.  I'm not going to participate this discussion any longer.

no problem carl , mine was aimed at the same guy , rick TPA whats that?

I myself had 2 items I sent back to a UACC RD and AFTAL dealer one of the signed items I sent back to the dealer that I had over 2 years the dealer was fine and right away I sent it back and got all my money back I still buy from this dealer, the other one was a nightmare had the item I think over 3 years and when I said about what I think is wrong with the signature he was fine until I had to keep getting In touch with him to see what's going on with my money back went on for some weeks the dealer said to me why are you rushing me to get your money back for the item that you have had for 3 years?! and at this time me getting pissed off with it I said about taking to Garry king about what was going on the dealer was not happy about what I said some days later I just swapped the photo for some other stock that I was 100% in the dealer did add some money on top of items but I will never buy from him again. End of the day all good dealers will swap or give your money back on any item or like me only buy from dealers you trust.

I concur: buy only from the dealer that you trust.

Third party authenticators

not pissed of with anyone , just don't like to be told to " educate myself" when I research everything I buy , if you buy from a dealer you expect it to be genuine ,

The guy sent you a good website for you to use as a guide so you can familiarize yourself with signatures.

Lighten up. Guy was just trying to be nice to you.
