Steve asked me to start a new thread since some were having a lot of issues with regards to whether or not the through the mail autographs of Jerry Lee Lewis are real or not.  I will post some examples of what we have been getting recently and some know in person examples.   These TTM signatures are not cheap.  You have to pay $50 for them to his box office box.  The question is are they real or not.  Roger has said that he has never seen Mr. Lewis sign this way and it looks to perfect - like a woman's signature.

Please post your thoughts here and examples.

thanks

I thought you did it on purpose...and it was funny.

Nice. A little bit of levity in what is a really frustrating set of circumstances!

THAT IS FUNNY!!

I have a couple phone numbers to the Lewis residence I am going to try if I don't get a written response by Tuesday. I don't like being hosed out of money. I am out the cost of buying 11x14s, postage to them twice, packing supplies cost and my time. I get a bit more ticked by the day.

I also thought I would post the second signed pictured I received. It is worse than the first I posted. I really had hoped they were good but really, really doubt it.

Sorry, Chad. But that is undoubtedly secretary.

It is a terrible scam they are running.  50.00 for fakes.   Its actually criminal.

I haven't sent anything to JJL, but I've been following the thread (I think that endorsed check is the most damning evidence). I hope everyone gets their money back. If not, maybe see if Jerry's local TV station is interested in the story? Maybe they have one of the consumer advocate "in your corner" type features. Between that or his local newspapers, I would think someone would like to hold Judith's feet to the fire on this one.

Here is the officially Jerry Lee Lewis Facebook page

I plan to let them know on here that we are not happy!  I think the more the better...

I am going to escalate this slowly and try to give them time to do the right thing. If they don't respond to my letter, I will call. If that does not work I'll call their prosecuting attorney then onto media if necessary. I don't think that will need to happen but we will see
I just looked through the jll website and store page. Most of the photos and items for sale have a signature on them. The signature is odd as it doesn't match what we believe is an authentic autograph, it has the odd "r" formation mentioned by Roger in the original post and it has a line drawn under like the recent ttm examples.
Also, there is a recent news article and short interview with jll on the site. He looks very capable of signing our items for fifty bucks a pop.

Yes... the facsimile signatures on the store items sure look more like the secretary than authentic.

This item in the store is truly cringe worthy... a $25 t-shirt commemorating Jerry Lee and Judith's second wedding anniversary.

A t-shirt to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of the man's 7th marriage? You have got to be kidding me.

Any updates??  Any news from the letter that was written?

thanks

Mark
