If there is anyone out there who has one, please let me know. They are becoming tough to find as many who have one are not selling them. (which I totally understand).

Jared, why are you so defensive? No need to be upset. You submitted the jersey and it passed JSA authentication. I'm not accusing you of anything other then having a vested interest in an item in this discussion. Guess the photo is not close enough. I can clearly see the ink of the signature connecting the bottom of the P as it curls into the at. Not sure how you are saying it isn't.

Where did I say that JSA passed this for the authentication fee? I've held the contention that they are clueless on Tillman sigs. Authenticating it on a jersey that was produced after his death just adds to my OPINION. Even though they really did authenticate this for the authentication fee unless they did it for free. But nowhere did I say that prior to this. JSA is not in the authentication business on the love of hobby alone. They get paid for their opinion whether it is right or wrong.

I am well aware that you were an in person collector here in AZ. I am to and I love the hobby as well. Just call it like I see it. We are all entitled to believe what we want. You maintain that the signature on the jersey produced after Tillman's death is authentic and I will continue believing it is a forgery. I'll post examples for you. I'll do them in a reply to this even though I have posted many on here before.

Good signatures:

Rick,

I don't believe I am being defensive, I'm participating in an open discussion with you. My reply about the JSA fees was in response to the following comment in your previous post "With the fee they charge to authenticate a Tillman I would challenge your theory of how many of their folks looked at it." I interpreted that to imply that JSA passed the jersey to collect a fee? Maybe I misinterpreted what you meant by that statement? Can you provide the evidence that you have on when the jersey was produced? After handling the jersey in person, it appears to be from the period. The jersey and signature show appropriate age. I believe the 'connection' that you believe you see is due to the bleed of the autograph on the screen printed number over time.

Your an experienced collector of Tillman signatures. What is your opinion of each of these?

Jared I see what you referred to. I meant the amount of money they charge for a Tillman signature of what $40 bucks would garner the scrutiny of multiple folks then say a Ruth signature which is has an authentication fee that is much higher.

As for the bleeding. It is possible but by looking at the signature it does not appear to be bled. It looks to be signed that way to me. I did post the date of when Tillman jerseys were reproduced. Was in the link I sent. Bootlegs followed as the ones issued sold out and folks figured a profit could be made on them. You've seen bootleg jersey of Tillman's ASU jersey being produced before his death? Really? That is some serious grasping at anything.

Going to bed. Night.

My personal feeling is that all of the autographs that you posted are likely not authentic with the exception of the single signed ASU helmet. I believe that could be an authentic Tillman autograph. Your thoughts?

Good job. All of them come with 3rd party authentication and are no good except for the ASU helmet. The ASU helmet is a tougher Tillman sig but is good one.

The jersey has a JSA certification but you are telling him not to sell it because your opinion is better than JSA or PSA? That makes no sense to the person who is in the market to buy it. Because guess what? With all due respect, Nobody knows who Rick Meyer is. So your opinion means nothing to a collector or potential buyer. I am just keeping it real here. If the guy has his jersey certified by one of the big 2 companies get off his back because you sound like a hater. Not calling you one but you sound like one.

What if he was selling this jersey with a certificate from GAI or some of the other guys everyone complains about. Wouldn't you then be saying "If it was real why not submit it to JSA or PSA"?  Now he has a JSA cert and you are still complaining. This goes to show exactly what I mean about arm chair opinions. I know people are going to get butt hurt about my post but hey its the truth. Sell your jersey and ignore this Jared. Thats what I would do. Great auction site you have there by the way. You have lots of great looking stuff offered there.

I have a team ball from 2000 signed by the entire team and actually has 2 Pat Tillman signitures. I have no authentication, feel it is for real as I won it as a door price at the Browns/Cardinals game Oct 8th and it was donated by the Cardinals to the Browns Backer group. Any interest out there?

Your ball is good. No doubt about it.
Buy it then troll. Morons like you who have no opinion of your own collect COAs. JSA isn't perfect far from it.. Case and point right here.

Quit being a hater because people don't agree with you Rick. Who is any more of a moron than you? Getting mad about autographs... SMH

Maybe you should get off the computer and hang out at Magic City there are girls in there...  You have to pay for them but what the hell you spend money on autographs... live a little why don't ya
