so close to ozzy osbourne but no sharpie to paper :(
There was a black sabbath concert in London last night.... got there early and found the artist entrance... waited waited waited thought i would try the beginning of the street when the silver Mercedes van pulled up... ran back to the gate held up my record with a pen... the van stopped right next to me while they opened the gate.... nothing... another failed attempt... i could tell it was ozzy and Sharron through the tint but no luck!!! I don't know how you guys get these signatures!!!! went back after the show for hours too but same result... couldn't tell w ho was in the vans this time but they all just drove past.... oh yeah i was the only sucker waiting there before and after too... must have been a better spot backstage that others with better tickets could get too...... ah so close!

Autographs are not an exact science and I have been doing this for 30 years and there have been quite a few where I've tried and failed and even if you would have been closer you still would have had to go through Sharon to get to Ozzy which is a major accomplishment in itself because Ozzy 9 times out of 10 is a great signer because he believes he is the lucky one because people still care enough about him to ask him for it. It's Sharon who has problems with autograph seekers. This hobby is getting a lot tougher because of a little invention called Ebay. Sometimes there is a little money invested and a persons time so I don't fault people who sell to try to recoup some of the expense but I for one do not sell I just enjoy the chase. Happy hunting!

That sucks to hear I got ozzy earlier this year managed to get him to roll down the window to sign guess I got lucky he was by himself. Geezer also did one by roll down for a girl waiting but tony would not even look at us

ah... you got ozzy!!! lucky you!!! trouble was there was no roll down window.. it was a mini van they were in the back and it had fixed black windows... sliding door would have had to be opened.... does ozzy sign records through the mail?

I got reunion album signed - it was very rushed and because Ozzy was the first one who signed my album and I didnt checked by silver marker before. His signature is really not nice one here, but I already got him before, so it was not issue for me - I wished to get Tony Iommi´s signature, because he´s my big hero and luckilly he confirmed everything I have thought about him with his commentary - guy next to me asked him to sign Seventh Star - and he said to one guy of his crew something like "I remember taking shots for this record, it was happening on the desert, yet we had frozen a****!" It was just impossible not to begin to laugh! :D

Lucky you!! well done.. thanks for posting the pic too!! so this was signed in front of you? here is where the trouble lies i couldn't tell if that was a real geezer or not as it does not look like the ones on psa dna stickered stuff so how do you guys tell the difference between a rushed in person sign to a fake?
was it at a meet and greet type thing or just on the street?

It wasnt meet&greet type of thing. I am not fan of this era of expensive meet&greets. We were lucky to meet them briefly at the airport when they arrived. I also got Ozzy´s sign in 2012 when he was here with Ozzy&Friends tour but at that time, he signed my album at his hotel (not in front of me as we were waiting outside), so I can only believe (and I think) it´s authentic one, but I didnt see him signing it. Frankly speaking - it´s much nicer one than this on Sabbath´s album, because he probably signed it on table.

Since you wanted to see a genuine in person Ozzy autograph, these ones I got in 1989. One with his full signature and the other with only Oz, because he thought it was a f***ing Dio album.
