Hey all,

Just picked up this piece and Tony helped me out by identifying Park and Prowse. I'm just wondering whose signature is above Parks. Also, what would the value of a piece like this be?

Thanks!

Ray Park signed his name above his character name Darth Maul. To the right of the Darth Maul inscription is Christopher Lee's autograph, he is the bearded distiguished looking gentleman in color.

Ray and Dave each charge about $30-$40 per signature at most shows. Christopher Lee doesn't do many signings anymore and his autograph is on average $100-$150.

Thanks. The description for the item is four signatures by the Sith Lords so I thought one of them was Ian McDiarmid, not an inscription. Not sure if I should continue with my purchase or ask for the transaction to be cancelled.

Ian has done a number of shows and signings in the last few years, and for an additional $100 or so you could always add Mcdiarmid, but he is certainly not on there. There are 3 autographs on the piece, if they claimed 4, you have every right to request a cancel.

Thanks.

Would you say this piece is worth at least $200? At that point I can justify the purchase.

Lee won't likely sign again, and the last time he did it was nearly $300 a pop.

Thanks for the help, I think I'll ask the seller to refund me a portion and if they don't I still may take it haha.

Definitely worth over $200 due to the Lee but the seller should give you 25% back for the missing one

I would keep the piece for the $200 that it was purchased for, and attempt to add Ian McDiarmid at a later date.  Just make sure that you bring a gold Sharpie with you.  He attended New York Comic Con two years ago.  I was very fortunate to be there.

Pete, what are your thoughts on authenticity?  I find it odd that David Prowse did not add his customary "IS" to the autograph.

I think these originated in bulk from Dave himself or thru his webmaster Dave Evans. If you sit down to a pile of a few hundred photos to sign.......every little time saving move helps. Dropping the "is" is pretty common when Dave signs bulk orders for a dealer.

Thanks for the reply Pete.

I decided to pass on it, seller was very understanding.
