Ray Charles autograph
My sister was a "stewardess" for National Airlines in the late 1960's. Ray Charles was on one of her flights and signed an "Occupied" seat card and gave it to her. I have the card. What would be its worth? While researching online, one source listed $400...but I'm not sure...can add a picture.

I've explained the exact story of my Ray Charles autograph which has been signed by Ray, helped by his french manager. I've never claimed Ray Charles signed this one alone.
Contrary to what you say, the Jackson you're talking about is exactly the same than the 2 others I've sold and obtained in person on the same day. And I don't even understand how you can doubt.
For McCartney I agree it doesn't look like most common McCartney autographs, but I get it in person so what can I say or do ? You know McCartney autographs now are very bad, when he accepts to sign. I'll post some others obtained in Paris, France between 2009 and 2012 by another french dealer. They're all different, but there is another one looking a bit like mine which is "miles off a genuine". So it's ridiculous to be as sure of itself when you don't tell the truth.

Just a question... I am not a big collector, I am not an expert, but when I buy an autograph, I like knowing that it was signed by the artist. If Jean Pierre Grosz held the pen and if Ray Charles put his hand on the hand of Jean Pierre Grosz, why not to explain it on your site? For me, it is a very important detail and Jean Pierre Grosz's writing does not interest me at all and I think is not worth 500 euros. On the web, I found Stevie Wonder did the same thing with several people for years. Thus, "his" writing regularly changes. If the collectors are satisfied with that, I don't understand because it's only fetishism.
Maybe you would have had to specify Jean Pierre Grosz held the pen ? Or then, it's only business to make a lot of money... Sorry again but I am not an expert, just a candid fan...

You are absolutely right. I should have explain that on my website. It was explained in french on my website and not on the "english" part and I apologize. This autograph just stayed a few days on my website before somebody bought it, knowing that Ray signed it with help.
It is the same problem for Stevie Wonder who always sign with help. I have never seen a Stevie Wonder or Ray Charles signed by themselves (alone) autograph and don't know anybody who get them.
I understand for some people it doesn't count as their autograph. But for many others it is their autographs. It is the only way to get Stevie Wonder, so for my hand I think it's better than nothing but you can call it fetishism...
Regarding Ray Charles, I don't even know and I've never heard the story of somebody else being as lucky as I was the day he accepted to sign this autograph for me, with the help of his manager. As I told Ray Charles was ALWAYS refusing autographs. I asked 500€ for this one, and if somebody was happy with this graph I don't think there is a problem...

BTW, Stevie Wonder lives in my neighborhood and I have seen him at Whole Foods a few times...never did I feel compelled to bother the guy for an autograph. Nobody's following him around and asking him for autographs either...so I'm just wondering in what scenario, people get his autograph???? and what scenario does he actually sign one?
and yes, the Ray Charles autograph I posted is a joke from the 70's.

I would never add a Ray Charles autograph to my collection unless I had actually witnessed him autograph the item in person. The idea of someone else assisting him is actually very interesting to me. I do not think that it would bother me at all, as long as Ray Charles was holding the pen. This same reasoning would apply to Stevie Wonder as well.
