My Mickey Mantle

Folks,

This is a close up of a 8X10 photograph which was given to me by a good friend. He lives in NYC and owns a successful restaurant in Manhattan. Received the autographs when the athletes came to his fathers owned business as celebrity appearances & guest speakers .

He had a collection of autographed items and decided that he had no use for them (he is not a NY Yankee fan) and he knew I collected, so one day he surprised me with the bounty. It included this Mantle flat, a Clemens ball and flat, Billy Martin flat, a Steve Garvey Ball, and a few other NY Yankees who I am not real familiar with. Also included in the stack of items was a Dwayne Wade signed Miami Heat Jersey he aquired during an event in Miami where Wade was present.

Of course, the Mantle is my favorite. Since none of these have COA's I was just sharing with this incredibly educated group. Photo has NY Yankees at the bottom in type, seems to be something provided to the players to sign. All the other Yankees (except Clemens) are of the same vintage and same stock NY Yankee type photos with the similar layout and typeface.

OK forgot, there is a Whitey Ford Flat and Ball as well. I have uploaded all the item photos. Feel free to chime in! The player I wasn't familiar with was John Ellis.

Thanks Jason and Tony. Even though I was a Pirates fan Mantle was one of my favorite players after watching him in person as a kid with my dad. Proud to have this.
