Card Question! Need Help!
I have an autographed rookie card of Nolan Ryan in very good shape! However, the card is laminated. I was wondering how much lamination hurts the value of vintage cards. How much would it impact the value of a Joe Namath autographed rookie card in great condition? That is a $1000 card unlaminated. Also, how much would it impact the value of my Nolan Ryan autographed rookie card?

Lamination not only destroys the value of a vintage card, it also destroys the value of the autograph. Enjoy them for yourself, they are not something you will find a buyer for.

An ungraded Joe Namath card averages out at under $500. There is unfortunately no way to get a card graded once it is signed, let alone laminated. Unless you just want the autograph authenticated, then they will slab that as "Authentic." A perfect condition signed & laminated Namath rookie would maybe bring $100 if you can find the right buyer.
A signed Ryan Rookie in great shape would bring about $300, laminate it, and it drops below the $100 mark.

So your saying a laminated card would be worth about one third or one fourth of the value of the unlaminated card?

If you are very lucky and can find someone willing to spend that much. There is no price guide for laminated cards. They are considered altered/damaged. You would have the same chance finding someone to buy a card with a huge crease thru it, or a corner missing.
