Another bad SRV signature, in my humble opinion. (SRV is one of the areas I specialize in.)  I do not know this Canadian seller, but he has 200+ signatures up for auction. I would be very careful given this SRV travesty. The item # is: 171566750107 if you want to view it.  He does warn buyers about all the forgeries out there! As always, do your homework before you buy!

That's authentic. Just a very early version.

You might be right . I guess I would say the jury is still out & may never be in.  It is a very unusual style of signature, in that he almost never did "S R Vaughan". He did many "S R V" signatures. After doing some research, I could only find 2 examples of something similar to a S R Vaughan, so he did apparently do it on the rare occasion. Being done in a thicker sharpie pen makes it more difficult to see on the usual nuances in his signature too. There are consistencies & also inconsistencies, maybe some caused by the less than sharp Sharpie pen. After more research & scrutiny, it may just be a rare, quirky genuine one, but I personally would pass on it as a collector because it is not a good example & in the future, when one goes to sell it, it will again raise the same questions all over again. Unfortunate if it is real. But if I was lucky enough to have gotten this signature from him in person, I sure as hell wouldn't be selling it! I'd have it framed on my wall forever!!

You would get more participation on your posts if you pasted a link to the auction.
