Time for another story. This dates back to May 17th, 2014 here in Italy.

It's the day of "Mille Miglia", a 1000 miles vintage car race from Rome to Brescia, held in city streets. I knew Brian Johnson (and Jeremy Irons, Amy McDonald, Jay Leno and Adrien Brody) would have been there so I went to Piazza Maggiore in Bologna late at night, when all the cars arrived.

Shame, I couldn't see Brian's car. Came back home at 1.00 am, and I decided to wake up at 5 and go to the start the following day just to TRY to get Brian. I went to Piazza Maggiore again, there was NO-ONE, literally. No-one but the cars and the people from the staff.

Then I decided to go to the real start of the race, in Via delle Lame - Porta Lame where I found some fans and mechanics. I tried to ask several times to the team if Brian would have been there - some said the night before he felt ill so he wouldn't race. And that was unfortunately true...Anyway, at 7 the cars were ready to go...and then came Brian! Though the staff was joking with us ("No, he won't leave from here, we will pick him up out of the city" - "No he doesn't race, he's ill" - "No, he has left the race, another driver will take his place" and bull$£!" like that) he was there. We took some pictures, and he signed everything fan gave him, until his car started the race.

Very nice morning...Few hours on the bed, but a good autograph...and a good story to tell!
