New to AM, Looking for opinions on Multiple Balls (Mantle,DiMaggio,Jeter,Ichiro)

Hello all. I'm new to Autograph Mag and I was really excited to find you guys today. I actually found you guys looking up GAI/GA info. Great information. I'm mostly a card collector (Jordan) but I do have some autographs I've gotten over the years. There's a card show coming up in Florida and I'll probably take my stuff to get authenticated by JSA, but I figured I would get a first opinion here. I did look up the names in the forums, and some of my autographs look good and some I just can't tell. Ichiro especially. My first guess is its a fake. Any help is much appreciated.

DiMaggio, Mantle with inscription are fake, and blatant fakes in my opinion. The other Mantle ball and Yankees ball is fine. Ichiro I can't tell.

Thanks Mike. I figured the inscription was a fake. It actually looks like the NO 7 was written first. The DiMaggio was harder for me, but I'm a newbie.

I agree with Mike. DiMaggio and Mantle No. 7 are fakes. Last Mantle is good. The DiMaggio is actually pretty bad, and if the sig itself isn't bad enough, the "HOF" really gives it away. That's not the way his HOF looked. The last Mantle is nice though. Don't know about the others though.

That last Mantle, which is definitely authentic, is a classic Mantle sig and the toning adds character to the ball.

Very nice.

I own quite a few Mantle sigs where the ball is snow-white, but I also like a Mantle sig on a toned baseball.

Hey, Christopher. I agree with you about the "character issue" (I didn't know this was about politics, lol.). The toning to that bottom Mantle ball doesn't bother me at all. In fact, like you, I actually like it. I have a Mantle ball with a really nice signature with light toning all around, and I think it looks great. Definitely adds character. So many people like an antique finish to furniture and other items, but on baseballs some don't like that "antique" look. But the snow-white Mantles look a little boring to me sometimes.

Agree with everyone as well. The Joe D is pathetic, the Mantle No. 7 is common "Banana Mantle" forgery. Team ball the Cano/Jeter look fine. Bottom Mantle is no doubt authentic. And I have no clue on Ichiro, but my buddy was a bat boy for the Mariners and has about 20 items signed by Ichiro and damn near all of them are side paneled sharpie balls like this!
