PInstripe Pandemonium Show? Was it a mob scene?

I wanted to add Scott Kamanieki to a Yankee pic, but figured it would be insane.

Dom -  Pedro was there as well.  He came out to do his signing at 10:30, and when they announced him, everyone cheered and clapped, and Pedro had a big smile on his face and waved to everyone.  When Randy came out at 12, they did a similar announcement (and everyone cheered and clapped), and he didn't even look at the crowd, kinda just walked with his head down to his table.  He's an odd fellow.

Steve - Yup it was the MAB Pinstripe Pandemonium Show in NJ...It actually didn't seem too crowded to me, maybe it had something to do with the weather (there were a handful of cancellations, including Reggie).  I was only there from Saturday morning until after I got Randy's signature (around 12:15)

Some people might not agree with me, but I think Johnson is the best left handed pitcher of all time. He was not in a good mood when a friend of mine approached him in 2009 for an autograph and Randy told my friend to basically perform oral sex on him.

David, that is an amazing ball. Did he have a steep asking price?

I have heard Randy does not like signing at all and will take off if he even sees someone approaching him in public who looks like they want an autograph/picture. I read somewhere a couple weeks ago that he will only sign jerseys that have 6+ signatures on it already... Very odd.

yeah he was $199 for the ball (no inscriptions).  a bit ridiculous, but I really wanted him on that ball.

and yes, they did list that thing about not signing jerseys without 5 or 6 other signatures...though i saw someone in front of me get a Johnson 51 jersey signed, and i didn't see any other signatures on it.  so i'm not sure what the deal was with that.  the guy got like 4 or 5 inscriptions, so maybe he let it go.

Ryan, A lot of that is exaggerated by the autograph hounds that pester him. True Randy isn't the friendliest guy but he does have occasional good days where he will sign. He just real moody and hard to tell when those good days are as they don't happen often. If he sees you with handfuls of junk he won't sign that's for sure.

I've seen him sign jerseys before. He doesn't count signatures on them or even look for other signatures. Never heard that one before.

sweet

Here's what I can make out from the players that were on the National team in 1983-

East- ?, ?, Leon Durham, Gary Lavelle

West- Fernando Valenzuela above Pedro

North- Dave Dravecky is above Ozzie

Hope this helps- Cannot vouch for authenticity but these are what they look like to me

A Bargain Book Warehouse was going out of business, everything 75% off their already discounted prices....I was just browsing and found an autographed Juan Marichal book in the Sports section.  It was marked down to $7.00 plus 75% off, came to a whopping $1.75.  NOT BAD! :)

Very cool deal. Cheap enough that it makes for a quick read, and a free signature, to boot!

Just picked up this Elvis Presley signed 1956 program on the back.  It comes with the original newspaper clipping of him when he came to SC in 1956.  LOVE IT!!

Mark

That's a great item, Mark...especially since he's a Mississippi boy like me. Where did you come across this?
