Mantle, DiMaggio Forgeries on eBay, GFA/Stephen Rocchi Certified John Gorajczyk

Here in this thread I am going to show various examples of Mickey Mantle and Joe DiMaggio forgeries listed and sold on Ebay with COAs from Steve Rocchi, lead "authenticator" for Guaranteed Forensic Authenticators (GFA).

What is really sad, is that thousands of our military personnel got ripped off buying this garbage from the AAFES website.  I bet a ton of them got them at cheap prices and looked at them as an investment.  This crap is pure garbage.

Please note that in the 5 1/2 years since GFA started, I have yet to see even one authentic Mickey Mantle, Joe DiMaggio, Ted Williams, Willie Mays, Sandy Koufax, etc. autograph with a GFA (Rocchi) COA.

It is now 2021 and we have yet to observe an authentic autograph attached to a GFA (Rocchi) COA.

Before I show the aforementioned, immediately below are links to two important threads on Stephen Rocchi and Guaranteed Forensic Authenticators (GFA).

There have also been a ton of Mantle/Koufax forgeries on baseballs.

All laughable.

In my opinion, forgeries are at an all-time high on Ebay.

The main reason that forgeries are at an all-time high is because they are an easy sell, especially on Ebay.

As most of us here know, forgeries are meant to have the appearance of looking authentic, and of the people that purchase autographs, only 20% are the true hobby; the other 80% are fans, wannabe autograph collectors and impulse buyers.

Sellers of forgeries know that the 80% will bid and purchase their forgeries.

Those 80% who purchase forgeries, have no idea what they are looking at.

As a matter of fact, those same people who buy forgeries probably purchase authentic autographs by chance and they still have no idea what they are looking at.

Selling forgeries on Ebay is easy, because, as we all know, Ebay does not care, and that's why fraud is so rampant on Ebay.

Throw in a few lies, print an impressive COA and it's an easy sell for the sellers of forgeries.

In this case, the "impressive" COA is from Guaranteed Forensic Authenticators (Steve Rocchi).

The people who buy forgeries with COAs from Guaranteed Forensic Authenticators are impressed and swayed by the "Forensic" aspect of the GFA COA.

Those 80% who purchase autographs/forgeries, have no idea what they are looking at.

Selling forgeries on Ebay is easy, because as we all know, Ebay does not care, and that's why fraud is so rampant on Ebay.

First we're going to look at numerous Mickey Mantle and Joe DiMaggio forgeries listed and sold by Ebay seller Coinfinder58.

Ebay seller Coinfinder58 writes "As of September of 2011, the sports memorabilia authentication companies have used collectors and dealers as their authenticators. These authenticators highly respected in the industry have for their collecting and selling expertise have had little or no formal training in forensics and document examination. Stephen’s background in law enforcement along with his years of experience in authentication, working with well trained forensic and document examiners, combined with today’s latest technology can produce consistent scientific proof that signatures are authentic or counterfeit."

Now that's laughable and a bad freakin' joke!!!

Just like the "autographs" below; all are laughable.

Let's look at some examples of Mickey Mantle and Joe DiMaggio forgeries on various images listed/sold by Ebay seller Coinfinder58 and other Ebay sellers with COAs from Guaranteed Forensic Authenticators (GFA).

Let's make one thing clear:  These are obvious and no-brainer forgeries.

Look at all of this crap!!!

It's now 2021 and I still have not observed one authentic Mantle, Williams, DiMaggio, Koufax, etc, with a worthless COA from GFA.

The majority of this crap (the photos) are not even hand-signed.  They are basically copies produced on inkjet paper.

This "lipstick on a pig" set of forgeries is basically a copy of forgeries produced (copied) on inkjet paper.

These are basically copies of forgeries produced on inkjet paper.

In other words, worthless pieces of paper.

Neither have I, Ryan.

But there has been a "new" COA called My Favorite Players II.

Of course, the Mickey Mantle is a forgery.

I was hoping this thread would bring Steve Rocchi here to explain why he continues to "authenticate" the forgeries that I posted at the beginning of this thread.

As we all know, these are no-brainer and obvious forgeries.

My next thread, which I mentioned earlier, will be my "Open Letter To John House, CEO, AtAuction.com.

My John House has been selling forgeries of Mickey Mantle, Joe DiMaggio and Ted Williams for over five years now.

I have emails from Jennifer Duggan of AtAuction.com explaining why they chose the likes of Ted Taylor and Chris Morales to "authenticate" their "autographs (forgeries)."

It's over five years now and this supposed Scoreboard inventory John House acquired, continues to be listed today (March 29, 2015) on the AtAuction website.

Mickey Mantle passed away August 13, 1995 and yet John House continues to sell "Mickey Mantle autographed photos" in PRISTINE condition.  They look like they just rolled off a printing press.

The "Mickey Mantle autographs" sold by John House have no variation.

Whatever mechanics that are being utilized to "autograph these photographs of Mickey Mantle" do change ever so often when the "machine" is tweaked/calibrated.

Then there's Steve Rocchi, who is now thought of in the same circles as Chris Morales,  Ted Taylor, Drew Max and others.

What's the name of Rocchi's company--oh yeah--Guaranteed Forensic Authenticators.

A slick name with the word "Forensics" in it, brings in the scammers and suckers.

The scammers are well aware they are purchasing a forgery with with the GFA COA. and the suckers are convinced by the word "Forensics."

Ebay seller Mccauleyjr2006 writes in all of his GFA certed-forgery auctions "Always use your own judgement when buying autographs."

What is Ebay seller Mccauleyjr2006 really saying?  Is he saying "I am selling forgeries and warning you that I am?"

See the photo below.  They are my AtAuction.com purchases of Mickey Mantle forgeries with a COA from GFA.

As you can see, they are still in their original shipping boxes.

These will be opened up on video and I will show the audience on video "exactly" what they are.

Mr. Podsada, I am still wondering why you decided to post here, under this thread?

The "autographs" I posted here are forgeries that aren't debatable.

And you know, and I know and everyone else here, knows that the garbage I posted is sold by John House, CEO of AtAuction.com; they are sold on EBay; they are sold at local auctions, estate sales ans charity auctions all over the country.

What is your connection to the GFA-certed forgeries that I have posted here?

You must have had a reason for coming here.

Mr. Cyrkin informed me that you cam here to "explain things."

So far, you haven't "explained" anything.

Also, Scoreboard NEVER sold the garbage I posted here.  You know that and so do I.

From what I can tell, he is stating he has court documents that state that Mickey Mantle has looked at these fakes and deemed them credible. Even if he has that proof, it doesn't change the fact they are horrible forgeries. He is hanging his hat on that and that only. PSA & JSA will not certify those versions but only certify Greg Marino's versions. He is representing   AND let us not forget that when Mickey Mantle met Nicholas Burczyck, "he loved the old guy".

I believe the man is playing a game of semantics and failing to see the horrible cartoonish trash for what it is. Just that, framed TRASH.

The fake versions, as any collector with a functioning set of eye balls can tell. This is the photo that he is saying is fake PSA#J32523

The only way this is fake is if the photo was PRINTED and then JSA and PSA certed it. With some of the things they both do, I wouldn't doubt that. However, all these GFA certed items are clear cut undisputed forgeries. Look at the pen pressures and where the pen is picked up during the normal handwriting process in this one. It is artistic in where it is signed and how it was signed. Look how sloppy, the GFA fakes are and where those ridiculous photo poses are signed. They scream FAKE to anyone who knows anything about Mantle's signing habits.

It's sort of a George Costanza "Opposite" argument he is trying to make, IMHO. Either he wants to believe it is so, or he just not seeing what is so easy for anyone who knows ANYTHING about Mantle's signature to see. I appreciate him trying to sell his FISH STORY, but that's what it is. Another story that has been passed down to poor bastards for years now that try to deflect the truth from the moronic unsuspecting collector.

He wants to believe it, I think? Just like I want to believe the Easter Bunny is coming next month and that Santa Claus is coming to town in December. Trust your eyes, they don't lie. Look at some of Mantle's inscriptions and compare those signatures? They don't resemble anything that bears My Favorite Forgeries authentication or the aforementioned rubber stamp scam artists.

This photo has 10 of 10 points in my identification process and I'm just a collector with 10 years of looking at these signatures everyday. He has been doing this for 20 years or more and passed the same class as James Spence in 1/4 of the time. SO WHAT, the SIGNATURES DON"T LIE, people do. LOLOLOLOL

"Everyone will pass his versions but PSA and JSA"...SHOCKER. They got it wrong he will tell you. They get more stuff wrong lately than ever before, but this ain't one of them.

I don't care what Mickey Mantle "deemed authentic.'

Period.

Also, I don't believe one syllable of that "story."

Sorry just got back. First and foremost you should care what Mickey Mantle deemed authentic because he was the only one who could ! second to answer Mr. Fuddjcal I never said that auto was in way bad. I just said it came from my inventory. As I promised Steve Cyrkin I will be sending him a package and HE will decide if what I am saying is true. Oh yes James Spence once visited my home and authenticated well over 200 pcs., including Mantle.

He only got nervous when I asked him if he wanted to do more and he said yes. When I escorted him into my dining room and had over 30,000 pcs. did he get nervous and declined. I was not there alone there was another person with me, who by the way also uses JSA on occasion. Bottom line is that 7 different Board Certified, Court Qualified Examiners, James Spence, Richard Simon, Mike Gutierez and many others have authenticated these same autographs. Why in Gods name are they wrong and you right. Chris what is your education in document examination. Where were you when myself and others were on the show circuit getting Mantle and others to sign tons of autographs ? I ask the same questions of Mr. Fuddjcal . All you gentlemen do is run off with your mouth and cause problems for people. Oh by the way what happened with the Mantle Baseball that E bay removed. I missed any update.

No one, and I mean no one, needs an "education in document examination" to learn and study autographs.

That  a bunch of BS, Tony.

Look at Chris Morales, Forensic Investigator--Drew Max, Authentic Autographs Unlimited, FDE and the others.

Look at Steve Rocchi of GFA.

Are you serious, Tony?

You and others "push" the forensic aspect of authentication to protect your turf, when in fact, there is no place for it unless an item needs to be dated.

You going to tell me, Tony, that the below "Mantle" is authentic?

yes

Tony P, is this Mickey Mantle "signature" authentic in your opinion?

To anyone with even basic knowledge of "autographs", you can tell from the first M alone that is it slowly signed. Shaky, slow, absolutely no speed/flow to it. Heinous forgery.

LOL these are such obvious forgeries! Not even CLOSE. Tony P, I would LOVE to see the above photo "certified" by the 7 "Certified Board Examiners" you speak of, including JSA, PSA/DNA, and Richard Simon.

What does Christopher's no question AUTHENTIC Mantle ball being removed from eBay have to do with comical GFA forgeries?

Christopher and myself have had PACK-PULLED AUTOGRAPHS removed from eBay, it means nothing, except that we pissed off some scammers and/or eBay. We all know that it is easier to sell a FORGERY with a "piece of paper COA" on eBay than it is to sell an authentic piece without one.

Moot point, and just a meaningless low-blow that proves nothing except the fact that you don't know what an authentic Mantle looks like.

As we both know, Fudd, the GFA-certed 'autographs are not debatable.

They are clear-cut forgeries that are rubber-stamped as "authentic" by Steve Rocchi?

No one can ever convince me that Rocchi "forensically" examines any autographs.

Below are Rocchi's authentication rates.

His lowest Rate is $100.00 per sig.

So obviously, he gets paid by John House for "Bulk Authentication" or a Flat Rate fee not more than $10.00 a sig.

The majority of forgeries that John House sells, go for $50.00, so it has to be a "Bulk Authentication" contract or nothing more than $10.00 a sig.  And no one can "Forensically" examine an autograph for $10,00, $20,00 or even $50.00 a sig.

You click on the below image to get a closer view.

Same for Chris "I Never Saw An Autograph I Didn't Like" Morales.

No one can convince me that Morales didn't rubber-stamp that crap as authentic or that he "forensically" examines any autographs.
