Autographs of Clint Hill, the U. S. Secret Service who ran up on to the back of the JFK limo to save Jackie are all over ebay at various prices. He is is a prolific signer, so there would be no reason to forge his signature. And yet, amazingly, there's a guy out there on ebay, "callmedoc10" who's doing just that. Not only photos with a bogus signatures, but also questionnaires in which he takes it upon himself to answer questions posed to Hill about the assassination. Below you'll see example of an authentic item and a forged one.  The guy sold the last of his authentic photos and questionnaires on Feb 11. Then on Feb 25 he sold 8 forgeries and he's currently listing a bunch of other forgeries (maybe one is a leftover good one) ALL the fake autographs have the telltale loop passing through the first line of the letter H. ALL his fakes have this in common. Nowhere else do you see that besides with his forgeries. Plus you can compare Clint Hill's authentic writing and the forgery with the example I've provided.

Here are two fake items currently on ebay:

You are definitely on top of this. Those are clearly forgeries as you say. Good catch. No doubt that Clint Hill has been a prolific signer. As far as that one regarding his thoughts on the assassination, from my understanding he (at least publicly) says that Oswald acted alone. Although there is simply too much evidence that clearly points to a conspiracy.

You are correct that the page on the right is a forgery.  I showed your photo to Clint Hill and he said, "That is absolutely not my handwriting."

Hi Lisa!

What can be done about this forger who's selling Clint's autographs? It's especially reprehensible that he is not only forging Clint's signature, but answering personal questions allegedly posed to Clint! The guy sold some originals from Clint, and then started producing his own!! I tried to contact ebay but I was ignored. Maybe in your position you would have more sway.

I just finished reading Mrs. Kennedy And Me. I was at the talk by Ruth Paine in Sonoma in 2013 (I live in Santa Rosa) but I only found out later that you and Clint were there. I took three pictures, but it took me over a year to realize that I might have a photo of Clint and Ruth meeting. I sent the photo to Clint and he verified it was him and signed it for me. Last week I went to see Ruth where she lives and she also signed it. It's quite unique! I've become acquainted with both Ruth and Michael Paine who is also now living where Ruth lives and I've spent some time talking to both of them.

Over the last couple of years I've built a nice collection of autographs of people associated with the assassination. I've got many through the mail, and bought some on ebay (deceased individuals.)

I hope there is something that can be done about this seller on ebay. He's also sold a couple of bogus Marina Oswald Porter signatures and even Jim Leavelle, who also will sign freely. I contacted him about the Marina signatures and he blew it off.

Please open the attachment to see the picture of Ruth and Clint

Hi Joe

Nice photo! I don't know what can be done about the forgeries. Hopefully collectors like yourself can continue warning people that there may be fakes out there and advise folks to beware. I do know that Mr. Hill does not make any money on the signatures. He merely gets requests from people and signs what people send him. His philosophy is if he signs enough, his signature won't be worth much!

callmedoc2010 is at it again on Ebay with Clint Hill forgeries:

He's recently been listing genuine Clint Hill items and even has a couple in his current offerings, but this blatant forgery is going to sell nevertheless. He sold the same picture and forged autograph on Feb 25 for $32.33. Ironically, some of his genuine Hill autographs have sold for as little as 69 cents!

As stated previously all his forgeries have a loop passing through the first line of the letter H in Hill. He's sold plenty of them! He's also sold bogus James Leavelle and Marina Oswald Porter autographs. The JFK assassination is not his only specialty so God knows what other fakes he has interspersed with his genuine autographs.
