STUDY: Jerry Lee Lewis - TTM real or not real
Steve asked me to start a new thread since some were having a lot of issues with regards to whether or not the through the mail autographs of Jerry Lee Lewis are real or not. I will post some examples of what we have been getting recently and some know in person examples. These TTM signatures are not cheap. You have to pay $50 for them to his box office box. The question is are they real or not. Roger has said that he has never seen Mr. Lewis sign this way and it looks to perfect - like a woman's signature.

The flow of the sleeve looks "really" off to me.. its just the flow on the white card "ever so slightly" I am not sure about. Hope that makes sense. It looks a little practiced… if I say so.

The story was supposed to be that JLL started signing TTM after he and Judith were called out for selling secretarials. Correct? You were either the first or one of the first to complain. Now they are charging $100 a pop and going back to secretarials, and sending one to you of all people?

I am not 100% sure when they started charging $100. I have heard a different story as to the why the started charging more, but I am not at liberty to talk about it.
And to answer your question. I did not say they are going back to secretarials. I am stating what I got back right after Christmas.

I agree, Mark. The sleeve looks a like it's not signed at high speed. There's very little trailing from pen lifts. That could be because JLL wanted to sign a nice signature, and there are no second chances when it's the fan's piece, or it could be someone practicing a new JLL variation. I hope it's the former.
One thing that really stood out for me on the sleeve was the pronounced "S" shape of the tail of the "y". And now that I see that, I see something similar on the card, but much less pronounced. The way the "y" on the card stops between the upstroke and downstroke concerns me a bit, and similarly on the lower "loops" of the "L"s.
It might be a good time to review the Charlton Heston discussion to get a grasp of how good secretarials can be.

I hate to do this to you guys.. but I was searching for Jerry Lee Lewis CDs and I ran up on this CD collection.
Does the signature look familiar?? Is this real or secretarial?? There is a familiar squiggly line underneath.

I realize that you know. I don't know exactly why they chose that particular signature, but I'm not surprised considering how nice it is.

Hey guys
Ive still got my JLL through the mail signed lp,do you still agree it was handsigned? Every word on there looks the same close-up,I did see the cd with exact same name and keep rockin,that blew my mind! This lp needs a nice frame job? Aloha guys!
