I have been collecting Star Wars autographs since 1998.  Not all of my signatures are on Star Wars memorabilia.  For example, when I met Warwick Davis at a comic convention in New York City, I had him sign a Willow photograph.  I also have publicity photos of Sir Alec Guinness and Christopher Lee from the 1970s, and a Natalie Portman signed The Diary of Anne Frank theater poster from her performance on Broadway back in 1998.  My current wish list includes Peter Cushing, Terence Stamp and John Williams.  I am interested in knowing about the collections and wish lists of other members.

Hi guys,

I'm thinking of pickling these up, are they the real deal?

Thanks for your valued input, as always.

Neither are authentic. The stops and starts within each signature do not happen when Ford or Hamill sign items.

Thanks, Pete. Passed on them. I'm beginning to think I'll never own an authentic Harrison Ford.

They are out there, don't give up. If you want a great shot with a quality signature they are expensive, but lesser shots with so-so signatures can be snagged for a couple hundred bucks.

If you can afford it Robert, just keep an eye on Official Pix or another IP Company (Celebrity Authentics or Coolwater Productions) as they do IP sessions with Harrison. Good luck to you :)

Thanks for the advice, I'll try to see if they have an affordable one I can grab.

I doubt you'd be able to get an 'affordable' one as such, but if you're willing to pay premium price, at least you can sleep at night, knowing its authentic. I was so excited when I got mine from OPX. When it came, it was sheer delight. Well worth the $479 I paid. Go for it, Rob! Life's too short, dude!

lol. Life would be short if the wife found out I paid $500 for Harrison's autograph. She complain that we both could have gone to LA with that money and just find out where he's staying and beg him for one as he leaves a hotel or somewhere. I'll just have to save up I guess.

Yeah the wife will win, but when you meet Harrison there is a 50% chance he signs and a 10% of that chance gives you a recognized Harrison Ford autograph.....you just spent $500 for a trip to LA to stand around and likely get nothing , or maybe a scribble.

For that other  $500 ....You get a decent graph that is officially certified by Lucasfilm who has handed that license to Official Pix and only Official Pix.

This is true. And I want to thank you personally for helping me out every time I have a questionable pic. You've saved me a lot of heartache already, so cheers to you. If you ever come up to Vancouver, Canada, let me know-I owe you a beer.

The stops and starts are clear indicators, particularly in the Harrison Ford autograph.  It is a mess.

Those are all good choices Mike T.  I would add James Earl Jones as well.
