Honestly, his quality autograph has been iffy for years. I'm not sure if you saw some of the signatures that came out of his pre-signed cds for No Pier Pressure but even those which I'd imagine were done in a perfect sit down scenario were jumbled and sloppy. He's up there in age and given the chaotic circumstances, most people walked away with similar regardless of what was signed. I think these days are long gone:

You're right, Brian's autograph has been sparadtic at best. The CDs weren't signed "great" but he had 100's to sign. You can still buy his LP signed on his website for $100. How much do you sell these pickguards for? How much can you get for a signature that looks nothing like his? I respect what you do, but real fans I believe want signed LPs. I think guitars like that are for people who are just trying to impress their friends. Just my opinion and thank you for sharing.

I'm not sure how many of you watch American Pickers but often times they'll pick up a MOBIL sign that is 'roached' out as they call it, pitted and rusted and just not a premium piece. The same with some of the smalls, popular collectible toys that maybe are missing a piece or not in pristine condition. Granted, a lot of what they buy is old/pitted, etc and that's what they love, but I'm talking about common signs that appeal to the collecting masses. They pick these pieces up because they recognize that not everyone can afford the best of the best and others are just happy to grow their collection at affordable pricing. Many people are also just starting out and when you're early on you're not as apt to drop BIG MONEY for items. This was why I mentioned I'm not complaining about the autographs. I am excited to offer these at 1/2 price to what I can normally get for them. It will allow someone growing a guitar or music collection to add another item for next to nothing, keeping them excited about the hobby. As for what real fans want, I think if you asked 10 fans at a concert which they'd rather have, a signed lp or a signed guitar, you'd be mistaken. The great thing is, both are incredible pieces which can be framed or mounted in a man-cave and enjoyed by many.

You're right, there is probably just as many people who prefer an instrument to an LP. As I said, I do respect what you do because you get the opportunity in front of some of these musicians that many wouldn't get the chance to. I think the only thing that worries me is putting out all these pickguards in front the musician makes them less likely to sign either A) a good signature or B) Burns them out because they know they are being resold. I realize it is your living, just wish instead of seeing 6 pickguards being signed that you diversified the things you had someone like Brian Wilson sign. (If you had a nice signed LP (or one that is legible at least) I would perhaps be a customer. These pickguards (in general) don'[t interest me, but to each their own. Once again thank you for showing!

I appreciate it Adam. Some day's it's all work and no fun. We generally know who is ok about it and who's not. I know what you're saying about giving a bad graph based on the item. I've had McCartney do that before. Ultimately it's all about education/supply/demand/rules. You talk Bruce Springsteen, that's ALL I have are signed lps.

Id buy a Brian lp as well. Have you ever thought about paying Brian to sign some items for you I know he has a heap of money. I know some graphers do that here in Australia.

So, do you wipe these and try again with someone else or are there buyers for these? I think two of them are acceptable but can't see too much of a market for the others.
