A letter written by Evelyn Lincoln (JFK's long-time secretary) detailing her thoughts on who was behind President Kennedy's assassination has sold $2900. While it is no doubt very interesting historically to get the perspective of someone who worked for 12 years closely with JFK, I was surprised that the letter sold for so much.

Still, this may be the only letter written by a close Kennedy associate that unequivocally indicts former President Lyndon Johnson as well as the CIA and FBI.

Whether you agree or disagree with her allegations, it is an interesting short read.

James, James, James the National Enquirer years ago broke the story of who was behind the JFK assassination.  The only one she didn't name is the real culprit the Roswell Alien who has hand picked each of our presidents since 1948.  How else could Truman have defeated Dewey?   Nixon, Carter, GWB do you think any of those could get elected?  And just who do you think is really behind AML???

:-p

Scott, Scott, Scott, the biggest tabloid of all Fox News insists that Oswald acted alone. So what does that tell you?! But if you want to believe in the Oswald fairytale, well...some people still believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. The majority of Americans still believe it was a conspiracy even if our mainstream media try to shove the Warren Scam down our throats.

I really wasn't trying to start a big discussion here, as I didn't even elaborate on my opinion in the in the introduction. I was simply surprised that this item that wasn't even signed by a Kennedy family member sold for so much.

But I will say that, for the most part, people who have looked into the matter extensively very much tend to conclude that the assassination was likely a conspiracy as did the 1978 U.S. House Select Committee on Assassinations. Richard Helms, former CIA director, even implicated E. Howard Hunt's involvement in federal court.

Evelyn Lincoln, though, was correct that Lyndon Johnson was a major force behind the assassination. In fact, Richard Nixon, on tape, said that he and Johnson were both ambitious and wanted to be president, but Nixon says, "...but I wasn't willing to kill for it." Johnson was one corrupt dude. And I'm just kind of thinking that Nixon may have had more inside information about the subject than you or I.

LOL yes I was joking.  It is an interesting document and like you I am surprised it sold for as much as it did. I should have put the :-p up higher than I did.

That's cool, Scott. No problem. I have my opinion, but I'm fine with others who disagree. Obviously, none of us will know with ironclad certainty what actually happened, myself included. Nice-looking alien, too.
