I sent this loser a message on EBay with "ask seller a question about this item" and reported it to Ebay. I hate these fakers! Ugh.

They also put Michael's birthdate as the day he died in the listing. Idiot.

I wish you could email the buyer, but I don't see a way.

All we can do Sandy is keep reporting their eBay names on this forum and post the links (saving photos and adding them to the discussion because eventually the pics disappear).  Hopefully the buyers eventually run into this forum (we have had quite a few show up over Erick McKay Burgos' drawings--MJ forums also caught wind of him and linked to the forum on multiple sites).  I wish it was easier but its not. :(  I just keep pecking away at these guys though and trying to make it harder for them to peddle their garbage.

Another two up on ebay today from svern_us2015, firstly an index card signed 'All my love' and dated 1999

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Michael-Jackson-Signed-Index-Card-Autograph...

and secondly a piece of lined paper signed in biro: (both 99c start)

I did some digging online on this seller, and his name is Joseph V Hendrix out of Gowanda NY .

I also sent eBay a link to his 2014 CD signed after MJ died in 2009.  Hopefully they'll remove this scammer.

Hi Lizzie, I've been wondering for a while, how many genuine Michael sketches or drawings would you suppose exist in private hands? How many genuine ones are up for purchase in a given month or year?

I think that is difficult to guess, but the numbers 'in circulation' seem not to be large.  I imagine that the originals of MJ drawings used in album booklets will mostly be in the possession of the Estate, as will any other drawings that Michael kept for himself.

Looking at the possible origins of genuine MJ sketches 'in the marketplace', there were some in storage (in the 'Vaccaro' warehouse collection), of which some papers / drawings were sold in 2007.  There were some in private collections eg David Gest (as sold at Juliens in June 09).  Occasionally drawings surface from eg old schoolfriends.   I'm sure that Michael's family must still have some.  Michael himself said that he stopped drawing because his drawings disappeared  (ie were taken by maybe staff, colleagues, friends or relatives).  There have probably been more 'doodles' than drawings on the open market.

Formally, there is the collection created with Mr Livingston Strong, of which we have already seen a few in the media and given to the LA children's hospital.  Some of these appear to be in the hands of celebrities.(eg Elton John and others have been photographed holding large drawings.  Whether these are originals or prints we don't know.  (There will be originals somewhere, but I don't know if they, or prints, were gifted to celebrities).  Occasionally originals or prints from these have been offered by the Jackson family for sale at charity auctions.

I very much hope that most of those who still have genuine 'informal' drawings will keep them, and hand them down to their children/ grandchildren/ other relatives.  I believe that the Livingstone- Strong collection was created in order to raise money eg to build a hospital, (by selling prints), so their purpose was always 'charitable/commercial', rather than sentimental.

As to 'how much genuine MJ art is available in any period of time', I would say that if someone has a genuine 'informal' drawing, I think that they would need a very pressing reason to sell at the moment, unless they have 'cast iron' provenance, as the prices for MJ signed items of unknown or unverifiable provenance seem to be dropping due to the numbers of fakes on the market. We may have already seen the largest numbers of genuine informal drawings come on to the market between 2007 and 2009-10, partly because of the Vaccaro sale and partly because prices are high when a celebrity dies, so sellers capitalise on their investments.  Whether prices for informal drawings will ever rise as high again is anyone's guess.

I'm sure that any genuine 'Jackson/Strong' art will be sold for high prices, as the provenance is verifiable, and the drawings are large and decorative.
