I have no idea how I could ever authenticate this signature.

Hi Folks,   I don't think that I'll be able to authenticate the attached item. Many prints are being sold today and used in church circle of Jesus Christ.  The attached "signed" item was given to me over 50 years ago, by a neighbor who was in his 90's, and from a prominent family. The pencil "signature" is sideways on the right. I lean on authentic vs forgery. I'm not sure how to describe it, but it's a numbered issue, steel engraving??

Any ideas

Anyone looking to get a Jesus autograph authenticated may want to try Chris Morales, Drew Max or Michael Ciravolo.

Robert, I hope you didn´t try to contact the names mentioned by Sidney...this was meant as a joke by him.

Your print seems to be from Germany....you should try to contact Markus Brandes who is a member here. He might be able to help you.

Ok thanks, I didn't get around to doing the calls yet, so good timing.

It's a Heinrih Hofmann print.

I don't know on the signature, though. The only ones I've seen were YM Heinrich Hofmann, as opposed to YMH Hofmann.

Ha, if jesus was actually a real person, why does everyone make him out to be a white guy with long flowing brownish blonde hair?...Sheesh!!

And no, I am not related to the artist.
