i don't mean to bombard you all with these requests, but i am beyond terrified of buying a fake or a forgery. robin was (and remains) a huge light in my life for many reasons. his work helped me through my mom's death and through a major illness, and suffice it to say that he means a lot to me.

i'd like to buy myself a late birthday present (it was yesterday), and don't have a lot of money to spend, but it would mean a lot to me to have an authentic signature of his.

thanks for any opinion you can offer.

Robin was a great signer in person, and there are plenty of his authentic autographs around. Unfortunately with his passing being so recent, nearly every one of those authentic signatures is in the $200+ range.

My best advice would be to hold off, wait until your birthday next year or in a couple of years, you will surely be able to pick up the real deal for a fraction of what they are selling for right now.

Needless to say, the pieces you are looking at, are TTM (Through The Mail), and likely signed by someone other than Robin.

Good luck.

that makes me sad. :( but thanks.

Yes I would also follow this persons advice! I would wait I do not like this one after meeting Robin last year here in Orlando. Just my opinion. There is a lot of greed in this hobby I witnessed the worst of people last Friday when Michael J. Fox flew in with his family. I really took a step back and watched the scene unfold and felt bad for him and it made this hobby I love feel very very dirty and nasty.

What happened with Michael J. Fox. Where in Orlando was this?

Graphers are ruining the hobby. They take pride in how the "racc'd" someone as opposed to who they just met. They kill the opportunity for me to meet someone once that they've taken for granted a hundred times. Sad.
