Hello, all.

I'm new to autographs and collector markets in general. I'm curious as to what most of you might find to be enough "proof" of authenticity for a signature. Back in the summer of 2004, I won a guitar signed by Dimebag Darrell through a Media Play / Musicland Group raffle. The signature on the guitar is most certainly his hand-signed signature, and I still have both the invoice from Washburn and the original letter of notification from Musicland Group.
I'm looking into selling it after all these years, as I'm not a big fan of metal, etc. Are these documents enough proof for the avid collector to ensure authenticity?

I'll attach a few pics.

Thanks.

Edit: I don't have a pic at this second of the Washburn invoice. Will add later.

I think the autograph, which is clearly authentic, is sufficient proof in itself. The paperwork (or any other related material, such as the original ad for the raffle, etc.) is an added bonus.

That said, authentication by an eBay approved third party will probably pay for itself and make for a quicker sale.

Awesome, thank you. I'm looking into third-party. Any recommendations on which to use?

None of them are experts on Dimebag. I'd stick with the paperwork you have.

Here is all the paperwork I have. I also have the original box and the matching gig bag.

Any info on autograph markets, selling/buying, etc. is appreciated.

While I don't know who "Dimebag" is ,I do know member Micheal Kasmar buys signed guitars.

He is probably best known for being the guitarist for the groove metal pioneers Pantera. He was murdered on stage in 2004.

Ah yes I enjoy eating at Pantera bread once in a while! The singer is signing at Monster Mania in Md.

Funny. If Dimebag were alive, I'm sure he would laugh too.

Adding the other three members would probably be well worth it.

If Michael is interested, it's for sale! Thanks guys.
