Beckett Authentication

Hi. I'm brand new to the site so I'm not sure if this has been discussed before or not. I'm looking at buying a Walter Payton autographed football. My question is if Beckett Authentication is a reliable C.O.A. I know they authenticate auto on cards but this is the first one I've ran across on an actual football. I usually only buy merchandise with PSA or JSA certificates. Any and all opinions would be really appreciated. Thanks

no problem . your probaly paying a big premium for them now becuase of pawn stars but thats who it is.

Beckett's Pricing structure is pretty much in line with the other companies. Jsa/ Psa/Dna etc...

I'm assuming this is the new Beckett with white sticker? If so that would mainly be Steve Grad and another gentleman whose name escapes me at the moment .Grad came from PSA and is well respected so you would be fine. Beckett is the new kid on the block that collectors are gravitating to as JSA and PSA have lost their luster over the last couple of years with getting too big and not doing very well especially in the entertainment autograph area. Hopefully you will get some other opinions as I'm kind of busy. Good luck and welcome.

You would be safe then. Here is mine I got in person. He was pushing Kangaroo sneakers and there was hardly anybody there. I talked to him for about 15 minutes and got a pic with somewhere. Nice guy.

Hey Mike - that's me selling you the ball! Sending it out tomorrow. I actually had the chance to speak with Grad after he looked at both the football and a helmet I had authenticated as well. Grad is very well respected in the industry and told me that he got Walter about 30 times when he lived in the Chicago area
