For anyone in the market for Richard Petty signatures, I had all three of these signed personally on Tuesday of this week.  I had been watching diecast signatures on eBay and thought they looked forged.  After this signing I realized that Richard still does the hero cards in the same excellent manner as always.  However, the diecasts are a little rougher.  I did notice that when he signs he doesn't balance his hand on anything. it's complete free flowing.  That could account for the rough edges on the diecasts.

Here is what I meant by no balance.  Actually should have used the word support.

Hi,

Very useful observations - thank you. I wonder if the rough edges have something to do with what was signed and with what type of pen?

I'm sure the diecasts are tough to sign on the windshield.  That and the fact that he will turn 80 this year could figure in.

I am sure - but looking at the image that appears like feathering - not shakiness. Is this appearance limited to windshields? Have you tried other pens?

Unfortunately he didn't give me any options. I would have preferred the signatures on the hoods
