HI, I have a opportunity to purchase a Creedence album signed by both John and Tom Fogerty, Stu Cook and Doug Clifford. The seller claims that his father had the band sign it after a show in Chicago in 1969 - 1970. The John Fogerty signature is definitely different than his current signature, so I was wondering if this was how he signed in the early 70s. Thanks in advance for all opinions.

Not sure if this helps but here is a full Fogerty mid 80's signature for comparison.

Thanks, I really appreciate it.  I see some similarities as well as differences in the two.  I've sent this to Roger for his opinion, so I'm waiting to hear what he has to say.  Thanks again!

Let us his results if you don't mind. I know he was a tough signer until the last few years. And still may be on certain items.

I definitely will.

Heard back from Roger and the signatures are authentic.

Hopefully you were able to purchase the album. If so, congratulations!

Thanks Joe, I did purchase it.  Would you think this album, with all four signatures, is pretty rare?  I've looked around, and found CCR albums with John, Stu and Doug on them, but none with all four.  I would like to check RR Auction's past auction search to see if they have sold any, and what they brought, but I'm still unable to access it.

Scarce for sure.

Congrats on your purchase!

Mark

Thanks Mark!
