I bought this poster a while back from a seller at comic con, I'm pretty sure it's real but need a professional opinion. :)

McKellen and Wood don't look good to me, so I doubt the rest are good.

Not a single real autograph on that bad boy.

My heart just dropped, I paid $800+ for it. I thought for sure it was real, I compared it to others got my friends to help and they all thought it was real too.

An authentic poster with those signatures, in that condition, would in all reality be priced at a minimum $4000, with some similar real pieces selling for double that.

Even with a basic knowledge of perhaps half the signatures there, I could tell it's not real. None of them are really close enough, and they're all noticeably slowly signed. That aside, you have to immediately question a poster that's A) looks to be in perfect shape despite the handling that would have been involved in getting all those signatures, B) is signed in entirely the same pen and C) has perfectly signed, perfectly placed signatures across the board.

If you have any way of getting a refund, I would not hesitate to go for it.

Well that really puts a dent in a my day. But thank you for your responses, no matter what it still looks cool hanging up in my room.

Hunter,

I'm so sorry that you got bad news today. Pete Chuka is one of the best around at authenticating modern Hollywood, BTW.

Who did you buy it from? Perhaps you can get your money back. You at least can tell Comic-Con.

Unfort Steve the venues don't seem to vet the dealers/vendors at all - have had some of the guys here take MJ sig pics from quite a few of the comic con's and its the crap forgeries you can buy on ioffer for under 100 but the pricing is in line with legit MJ's. One would think since they are in the biz of having "real" stars sign they'd vet the dealers, but they don't.  Doesn't hurt to keep bringing it to their attention though.

I have a few IP Andy Serkis graphs that look nothing like tbe one in your pix

100% not authentic.

Even worse is ebay item: 332172462747   (asking price $12,999)  Ohio, USA.  Im sure ebay seller LAstargazing - (mentioned on COA) used to have a production line in his garden shed many year ago.

Also if you want another LOTR gold signed poster, ($999)  see ebay item 252854852490  (The Box Office). Another ebay ID with fake COAs who used to sell 20-30 signed posters every week.

Do any of the LOTR actors take action against these forgeries (like Mark Hamill for Star Wars fakes ?)
