Hi All,

Many of you know me for my eye for bargains, $49 Bowie, $20 1977 Bowie (!), 1945 Gleason for a client for $40, $76 vintage '84 Gilmour etc. It is a lot of fun collecting these things and getting great deals. But neat things need not be A+ rarities and expensive to give enjoyment. Some great music is by artists who don't command much $. An example is Laurie Anderson. I have a signed promo copy of her 2010 CD/DVD Homeland. Big Science too, but it is a reissue and I don't collect those. Signatures have to be contemporary to the work/item signed. Many of you likely know her - "O Superman (For Massenet)", exhibited in the MOMA, among others from her hit LP Big Science from about 35 years ago. She was the wife of Lou Reed. Anyway, this was $4.50 SHIPPED. Sure, not great contrast, probably signed in her hand, skipped pen...but hey - 20 years old, and why not? Will go well with my CD/DVD, and you might recall I love tix with my stuff. I'm a happy camper. You can't buy...a hamburger for $4.50!\

Says "Hey Jeff! See you next Time! Laurie A"

Who else has really inexpensive goodies to share?

Fantastic Eric!
I've purchased a few records through discogs and ask the band member to have him and his band mates sign the album. Where talking about 10 dollar records they sign and Mudhoney were selling signed posters for about 10 bucks, not bad bud!

Thanks Paul! I love inexpensive thrills - they are the same as the $$$! Anderson is highly underrated and has influenced many. She was the first female artist in residence at NASA and alsocreated a 6 foot "stick" that sampled any sound and reproduced it - it was apparently confiscated by Homeland Security or whatever we have. Her "Only an Expert" is most amazing. Refrigerator rods for bombs etc.

"They're American planes, made in America" - She sang this in the week after 9/11.

Ha, I love this topic. Billy Corgan for $12.

Well done Travis!
