Hi, I would greatly appreciate opinions on this Ingrid Bergman signed photo. The green ink threw me a little - was it common for celebrities in Bergman's era to sign in green, or is this automatically a red flag?

Thanks,
Allen

No flag here re ink color. Not speaking to authenticity. Lugosi favored green ink, De kelley used to carry it about in his fountain pen as well. I have some beautiful emerald green signatures back to C. 1950. Violet also (many Violet Zane candids were signed in violet, or emerald. I know my Walter Huston Zane candid is in emerald green or Violet, but my 1950 Plummer is in beautiful emerald). Bergman looks a bit older here. By 1960's and esp 1970's, green would be common, later in felt. Nicholson used it for the stills from Cuckoos Nest in 1975...

Thanks Eric, I appreciate the info!

Get more opinions and make sure it's original, but the autograph sure looks like Bergman's to me.

I have seen sigs of hers before in green ink.  what is craigs list when its at home?  pretty sure that I have seen this one before as well somewhere

Looks fine.
