It has been 35 years since his passing so I thought that I would post this to see if anyone has anything that they would like to share about their collection as it relates to Elvis Presley.  I personally do not own anything nor did I ever have an opportunity to own anything.  What do you own?  Did you ever have an opportunity to own something but missed the opportunity?  Please share.

I love the King.

I purchased two pictures signed by Elvis from the Jim ‘E’ Curtin III collection auctioned by Regency Superior in 2004. I have since sold one (made enough on that one to pay for both) and framed the other with an autograph of Nixon and a picture of their famous meeting.

Kevin Conway sold one from this collection as well and the link is below if you want to read more about it.

I had an opportunity to own an Elvis Presley autograph but my cousin blew it for me. There was this older lady who lives in Vegas and she had an Elvis Presley signed on a Dune Hotel postcard from 1962. She was a backup singer for Johnny Ray. Elvis Presley was at the Johnny Ray's show opening at the Dune Hotel in 1962. She even had some news paper clipping of herself in the Vegas newpapers of the event. She agreed to sell it to me for $600.00. I have a cousin who lives in Vegas and told her that I will wire him the money and that he will pick it up from her the next day. Wire transfer the money to my cousin on a Tuesday and told him to call the lady to complete the transaction the next day. My cousin told me the next day that he was unable to do it till the weekend on Saturday. I remember sending him a text that the autograph will be gone if he does not pick it up for me. Mt greatest fear came true. When my cousin called her on Saturday, the lady informed my cousin that she has sold the Elvis Presley autograph and at a higher price than what we agreed on. That's one big miss opportunity for me to own an authentic Elvis Presley autograph. Thanks to my cousin!!! :(

I think I might be kicking someone's butt on this one. As I read, I actually thought you were going to say he lost it gambling so I guess it could have been worse.

I'd love to have an Elvis autograph but I'm not sure I ever will. The cost is high, but I could swing it with a little selling or saving. But, there are so many good fakes, I'm not sure I could ever trust something unless it had a lot of writing. And if it had a lot of writing, it would be really expensive!

I just read Chad's link.  Is it really true that 95.5 percent of Elvis signatures on the market are forgeries?  I hope not.

It's even worse. Last time we checked it was up to 95.8732%.

Elvis: one of my favorite autographs to own. Elvis: one of the forgers' favorite autographs to forge. All buyers be careful. I see Elvis forgeries go for hundreds and even thousands of dollars on eBay.

How about this pre-printed scarf with Frank Garo authentication. Shows you what forensic document examiners know.

I got this one from the original owner Jerry served in the military with Elvis. The pic below is Jerry with Elvis also pic of the back of the scrapbook the Elvis signature is on.

That's a BIG signature then...and very nice. Congrats! How long have you owned it?

It's not as big as the picture shows it it is smaller than it appears, and thanks for the compliments I like yours to.

Very nice.

As an avid fan of Elvis, and collector I only have 3 signatures from the king.  But I do own many of his personal/ stage items.  I really cleaned up at the 1999 Elvis Presley Auction at the MGM.  I ended up with some personal shirts from the 70's, one of his 1958 Winter Army Jackets, a handwritten poem, stage belt, and karate gi.  Not a bad haul.
