Hello everyone,

While looking around on ebay, i just noticed this item:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/john-lennon-autographed-record-vinyl-lp-/17...

The seller is rareandtheuniqueantique. and this is his first and only item for sale.

Right now it has 7 bids and the price is at 41 dollars. Now i am the first to admit that i am not near as knowledgeable on John Lennon as others, but this just looks awful. I think that it definetly is a fake, and a poor one at that, but maybe others will chime in. I really cant believe people are bidding on this.

Horrible forgery.  Doesn't even look remotely in the ballpark.

It sold for $57.  I guess it could have been worse.  Looks like it was only destined to fool the most incompetent.

Nice find, Carl.

This is why Ebay is the main place for the scammers to sell their crap; it's a wannabe collectors paradise.

but it probably has a coa, that makes it all better!

For even more laughs, check out the seller's new auctions for a Lady Gaga owned shirt and an Elvis Presley owned teapot. Starting at only .99 cents! What a bargain.

man carl, you are so correct. this is about as bad as it gets. i don't get ebay, they let this crap go with a c.o.a from who ever, and pull the real ones . just be smart and sometimes you will find a gem on ebay before it gets pulled!

Wow. This is ridiculous. A seller with 0 feedback. Um no. I buy and sell a lot on eBay, but hardly ever autographs. To scary if you don't know what you are looking for.

Looks like EBay removed all of the auctions from both EBay sellers (rareandtheuniqueantique and curiosityandotherauthenticcollectibles."

Wow, that was quick. Good riddance.

tom, i have seen all of these on ebay and have reported them all and nothing is done about it. 2 days ago i put this beautiful 1966 mccartney up for sale on ebay. in 3 hrs i had 21 views and 4 watchers. and then it was pulled by ebay saying they had reports it was a fake. some people or someone with clout with ebay, that knows my stuff is real is reporting my real beatle auto's. and saying they are fake. because, in my opinion, i have no overhead and when i sell a beatle auto. i am not trying to make a huge profit and it is cutting into their sales. this seller on this post, just sold a cookie tin with the same syle lennon forgery as the one  that started this post, for $11.00.  they have several different ebay usernames and all there sh@t is fake and nothing is done about it. in my opinion they are not being reported because these people, or person is not threatened by these fakes. last night i spent 4 hrs. looking at beatles autos. on ebay and found and reported 26 blatant fakes, some of which have been up for months and are still for sale. here is my '66' mcartney that was pulled after 3 hrs. on ebay.  this is why i am the paranoid person that i am. i can read through the lines, and i smell collusion.
