This is an extremely RARE and Unique vintage typed letter signed: 1p. 4to, Beverly Hills, 19 December 1939. In original envelope (faint discoloration from the envelope gum) with GREAT "Mr. Wong" and "Tower Of London" film reference content throughout the letter.

Karloff responds back with a friendly letter to the future book collector and biographer of Baron Corvo.  Born in Detroit in April 1921, Donald Weeks developed a talent for art (winning prizes for his posters) at Cass Technical High School in the city, winning a scholarship from there to Cranbrook Academy of Arts in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan - to which this letter is addressed.

Boris Karloff writes:

"My dear Donald:

I am glad to see by the return address on your envelope, that you are still going on with your art work, and if you are selling scripts to NBC as well, you will have two very nice strings to your bow.

I am glad that you liked the "Wong" pictures and hope "The Tower of London" will meet with your approval. Incidentally, the character of 'Mord' should be a good subject for you to caricature.

I am sending along a script of the "Tower Of London" but don't be surprised if it does not exactly follow the picture.
