John Lennon cut sold for about $650, but may have been cancelled by eBay

Well the title pretty much says it all. This cut was originally offered for about $1100, then reduced to $750. It sold as a best offer for $650, roughly, just a couple of days ago. However, the listing is no longer available because I think eBay may have cancelled the auction - probably because it was likely a forgery?

The seller stated that it was being offered cheap in order to try to sell it quickly to raise money for a family dealing with the wrath of cancer. While some stories tug at the heart strings because they are real, others are...well...full of baloney as they say. This was probably the case here.

Agreed. When I first saw it, I wanted to believe that the price was low so it could be sold quickly to raise money for a good cause. But I also quickly noticed the slow-draw nature to it, and didn't think it was good. It does appear to me that eBay stepped in and saved the buyer from losing money.

So see. EBay really does care. Lol!
