Hi everyone I've been just a listener for a while...anyway I bought some fakes from a seller just to get him angry or what ever out of frustration at Ebay just to have them returned to him to bug this thief!!!

Well he said he would make Ebay accounts in my name and address to sell fake coins to get me suspended!! I didn't believe he could do it so I returned an empty package for laughs.

This person has been selling fakes for a while..anyway I woke to find my Ebay suspended and even my Paypal limited!! Ebay says it's out of there hands! The seller sent me a message to my email claiming payback HA! HA!

What can I do I'm worried that the FBI will come to my house!? I got a return package with gold coins...my God Help!

I am not sure I entirely understand the situation as described.  I suspect they have better things to do than police eBay at least there are 100s of forgeries sold every day on there. That does not seem to warrant any great amount of scrutiny.  It should be easy (I believe) to determine if he set up another account since I think you need a credit card etc to do that for proof. I may be wrong on that since it has been years since I set my account up.  Certainly you would need to save any email he sent you.  I would also save anything you got from eBay.  I do not understand the "gold coins" part he sent them to you?  Are they fake?  Certainly save the package and any documents sent.  Steve Crykin would know more I think about tracking if someone sets up a fake account on ebay.

Gold coins? Not quite sure of the association. What seller?

easy saves the emails call ebay, call paypal report to both and the cops fraud. the seller was commiting fraud in the first place and put in writing that they commited more fraud under your name. certainly something you want to report as it's more then a minor criminal activity

Am...I reading this correctly? You bought something simply to return it (not cool IMO - only leads to trouble), this man then threatened you with a fake ID in your name, then he did so, you bought gold coins from "him/"you"" (under what ID?) and then sent back an empty package, retaining the coins? Please, tell me I have this all wrong?

Yes Hi Eric, I'm confused to.

I thought / interpreted the coins were bought from Matt from the person who created the bogus account which advertised the coins in Matt's name so that the bogus person then could complain and get Matt's account suspended.

If that makes sense.

Being a genuine autograph collector can be hard, playing games with people and having fun is best left to other forums, not AL,

What he did was duplicate my info onto another new Ebay account. Sold fakes, then told (unhappy) buyers to return them to my house. Ebay bots suspended my duplicate account along with me (real person) because info almost matched I guess. I can't get a strait answer from the Ebay monkeys. I don't even sell on Ebay either! I have items I bought in transit too!!

Respectfully submit your initial post was poorly worded. But if you started this by bidding on things you intended to return, to mess him up, I am afraid you brought this on yourself. Misplaced energy if so.

Eric

have you contacted paypal to explain what has happened?

You said, "Well he said he would make Ebay accounts in my name and address to sell fake coins to get me suspended!! I didn't believe he could do it so I returned an empty package for laughs."

Why would you even consider doing this?

Too many elements to this story/situation does not add up.

I am sorry, but from what you have stated you brought this on yourself.

Eric

This is one of the weirdest discussions I've seen on this website. Matt, you should've just reported the seller to ebay. And why will you not tell us who this ebay seller is? Something very fishy about this story.

I agree, not much to do with autographs at all.
